what makes people believe that Cotto can take Floyds punches?

When a person resorts to pointing out spelling and grammar errors, its usually a sign that he's either been owned, or has nothing valid to say. I tend to disagree with that sentiment. Man I'm bored with the topics today. I did see Sugar Ray Leonard's "Beyond the Glory" this weekend and it was very good.

We don't know for sure weather or not Cotto can take Floyd's best offerings. Heck, Cotto could barely keep Corely's shots and was even stunned once in the later rounds against feather fisted Malignaggi! Judah had Cotto badly hurt on multiple occassions, but was never given the oppurtunity to finish im off because Cotto went down low on Judah twice, thus taking away a HUGE ammount of energy away from Judah.

Fighting going backward (or running as u put it) vs Mosley for the last 2-3 rounds, while still landing the cleaner punches, still beats running against Baldomir for 12rounds! lol @ "fighting going backwards" when Cotto does it, and "running" when Mayweather does it.

Who has Floyd fought that was a "legit" power punching threat? 34 yr old Oscar??? Chico (RIP)?? Baldomir??? Gatti?? Zab??? Bum Hatton?? :ugh: I think a lot of people who hold Cotto in the same regard as Arturro Gatti, Carlos Baldomir, & Ricky Hatton simply just want Cotto to lose. I mean, let's be real ya'll, there's a reason people wanna see this fight. Even with the Hatton fight, nobody wanted or cared to see that fight until Ricky opened his mouth and Floyd saw dollar signs. The boxing world is screaming for a Floyd vs Cotto fight sometime next year because it's a legitimately competitive fight. To say that Floyd is gonna run through Cotto easy is like sayin Oscar doesn't like fishnet stockings with black stilletos (which we know is far from the truth lol). I personally don't think Floyd has enough power to KO Cotto. Cotto would never come in like Hatton did that gave Floyd the opp to check hook him (when was the last time you seen anyone get KO'd or knocked down hard from a check hook...lol). he hit him with a quick left. that really wasnt a big punch. both can take a punch but i think floyds chin is much better. i would say floyd will k.o cotto before he gets knocked out by cotto, especially if he tires and decides to run like he did the last few rounds of the mosley fight. Yes, he went down to a knee when he was talking to the ref, and Floyd blind-sided him. Floyd threw everything but the kitchen sink at him, and couldnt drop him. i do recall gatti going down in the second round. he also went stumbling into the ropes when he was punched in the chest by mayweather. floyd is a boxer first not a k.o artist but when he has you stunned he can finish you off. Floyd & Cotto both have 25 KOs. A lot of Cotto fans & some who are just Floyd haters keep screaming for Floyd. All I have to say to the Cotto fans. Be careful what you wish for.
