The one thing that the morales/barrera missed is there no good knock downs or neither fighter was able to stop each other in either fight, but you still get a great 36 rounds between them.
You're going to a desert island tomorrow and you can only bring one trilogy with you......
good question.. hmmm my judgement is clouded right now by the excitement from tonights fight.
Well im kind of on a Vazquez-Marquez high right now. Let me settle down, watch the fights again and then decide.
Same with me. The Vasquez/Marquez fights are in my head right now and to pick them over the Barrera/Morales would be an injustice.
It's a hard decision. Barrera-Morales has become a classic trilogy. You can't take anything away from it. On the other hand, I feel Vasquez-Marquez, was brutal boxing at the highest level. These weren't just mindless slugfests and brawls such as the first Barrera-Morales fight. These were 3 brutal fights of technical fighting with huge punches landing and guys getting hurt and busted up really bad. The drama all 3 bouts provided, were some of the best in boxing trilogy moments, and I'm glad I was able to see each fight Live on TV.
Barrera-Morales IMO. I thought there was more toe to toe action in that trilogy, I think this would get more attention b/c two fights ended in TKO's. I do however think that this fights 12th round was better than any round in Barrera-Morales but in whole Barrera-Morales IMO.
