Hey I'm 16 and new to boxing.
For my future fights I was just wondering:
How many rounds would a 16 year olds boxing fight consist of?
Also
Does the amount of rounds increase depending on the fighters age or on their quality?
Just some basic questions, thanks.
exactly MikeBrew328.
Train hard, spar hard, and run, run, run. Most amatures at the novice level punch themsevles out pretty fast, if you show up in great shape to box hard for 3 rounds, you will do just fine. Also, really pay attention to throwing straight punches in there, as many novices come at you throwing wide shots, they will walk right into your straight punches. These are things my trainers used to harp on me about, and they were right. :)
Good luck with your boxing.
As above. The most an amateur boxer will fight is 4 rounds at two minutes per round. You should be fighting 2 min rounds though if you're 16 years old. Over 14 yrs is two minute rounds. You'd be reet.
mateur fights are normally 3-4 2 minute rounds
Caus you are a junior you will fight 3 1 and a half minute rounds, when you turn 17 you will fight 3 2 minute rounds.
