I wasn't talking about natural 130 pounders. On a side note it seems Yan has little to no power in his punches.
Yeah he seemed good, but that may be the reason there isn't as much hype for him as Gamboa. I see him winning a lot of fights, but his lack of power probably won't get him the recognition.

A guy who has been KO'd 50% of the time in his last 6 bouts should have been an easy KO for a good boxer.
This guy clearly suffers from a bit of Malignaggi syndrome, and a bit of Ottke syndrome.
Depends... some people are just naturally a 130 pounds... i know a few
As do I. Some people would think those extra 2 pounds aren't alot but they are more than you would think.
But if you are naturally 130 pounds.. its not an EXTRA 2 pounds... its just.. 2 pounds... u can lose that in a sauna in an hour

I was under the impression we were...

Gamboa fights at 128. Personally I fell that's a pretty cheap way to become a 2 division world champion. Although when it get's to those lower weights it becomes even harder to LOSE that weight.

Mostly because he fights at such a low weight class I would think.
Not many people care about divisions under super featherweight. For some reason, 130 seems to be the cutoff point for most boxing fans.

Sort of. An oppressive government doesn't give people the means to live.
Casamayor got a gift of a bicycle from Castro when he won the gold medal, and he sold it so he could feed his family.
I mean, they are obviously not 100% the same, but in both scenarios, it doesn't make sense why anyone would proudly don the colors of the country that fucked them over.
Well when you think about it Castro and his government were the ones that oppressed him and his people. Cuba was a country long before Castro was in control. He probably wears the flag to represent for the people of Cuba, not necessarily the government.

Sometimes ones love for a country, doesnt necessarily have to do with government, but of the land and the people in it... and your familys heritage, that your proud of.
Barthelmy seems a lot more technical than Gamboa and unfortunately for him he'll probably be overshadowed by him all his career.

I was thinking the same thing. If Yan had some more pop it would probably be a different story but his opponent is MADE to be KO'd and it hasn't happened yet.
No. it. is. NOT.

And there you go...
Another Cuban wearing the flag.
Barthelemy is earing it too.
That is so strange to me.
It's like a German Jew parading around a German flag in 1947.
No. it. is. NOT.
