This is a much better fight than Jones vs Taylor. If Kessler beats Taylor it will hype up Pavlik vs Kessler. If Taylor beats Kessler he is right back on the title picture. I think the future of the SMW division is going to be decided in this fight. People need to understand that Pavlik and Kessler aren't similar. Kessler will give Taylor more room to breathe and this will be a fight decided with boxing technique, speed, timing and accuracy rather than strenght, stamina, chin and heart like the Pavlik fights. I still think Kessler will take it but no one knows how he will perform after a tough loss to Calzaghe. Very true. Styles makes fight.

I think everyone here has over-rated Kessler due to propaganda from the Calzaghe camp. I realize this isn't the most rational or popular of arguments, but I do believe this. The reality is Kessler is merely a good competent fighter, so all this "perfect" stuff came as a way of building Kessler up. Taylor easy UD. I agree. I've never been too impressed with Kessler.

Fuck that! That's why I like Taylor! He takes the best fights for him! Even after all he has been through. Its gonna be hard who to pick though.. Kessler might just have enough to finish him by stoppage, but Kessler doesn't have more power that Pavlik.

Actually I will favor Pavlik against Calzaghe, Kessler, Bute, Mundine etc... The only two men can probably beat Taylor are Calzaghe and Kessler and both of those are like 50/50 for me. I can see Taylor beating both Calzaghe and kessler, too.. The reason I favor Pavlik over most of these guys is he can KO anyone with 1 perfect punch. Both Kessler and Calzaghe will eventually get hit by Pavlik, if they get hit by Pavlik perfectly, I don't think they will survive. I'd favor him against Mundine too .. I'd probaly favor him over Bute too. But Calzaghe would win a wide UD, and Kessler MIGHT stop him late or win a UD.

For those of you who say Taylor wins. No way he does. Kessler would beat Pavlik also. The SMW division is a lot stronger than MW. In fact i can't see Kelly Pavlik even winning a title at SMW with the current holders. Kessler TKO. If Taylor takes this fight he is dumb. Pavlik could beat Mundine.. Thats just my opinion.

I think he'd be damn cool if he continues taking fights where he is the heavy underdog. I bet he has Mayweather shaking his head in complete confusion.

It won't happen, his promoter and trainer are not crazy enough to allow that.

Well at least he had the best sparring partner in Pavlik for that fight

I think Taylor is going for double or nothing. He needs a big win to get back on track, 2 back to back losses are hard to get over. Respect to that, although Kessler is going to be as hard of a fight as Pavlik.
