Just Re-Watched PAVLIK-MIRANDA... 2 things...

What I see from that youtube clip above is Miranda sitting on the ropes from Round 1. He had said after the fight he knew that he shouldnt be on the ropes but his legs felt so heavy and he had trouble moving... All shows how he was not himself in the ring. What a damn shame. Abraham had him going backwards, but he got his ass of the ropes real quick. At 100%, and at 168lbs, I just see a much more competitive fight and a possible stoppage for Miranda.

I still stand by saying Miranda did not land any significant hard flush shots. But if you'd like i will say Miranda didn't land enough significant hard shots. Miranda landed very few shots and they were far in between, compared to what Pavlik landed. Pavlik is a great fighter, with incredible power and I cant wait to see him get in the ring with other top fighters in the division....same with Miranda. The flush shots I remember Miranda catching Pavlik with was at the end of the first round. He landed some decent shots that buzzed him & had him walking to the wrong corner if I remember correctly. Pavlik did a great job of smothering Miranda so he couldn't get full power on most of his shots.

Please watch this.. and then tell me Miranda did not land any flush shots.. if they weren' significant..It was not becasue Miranda not making contact.. maybe it had to do with the guy in front of him beating the living piss out of him.. and having enough a chin to deal with his power... at least a left hook to the head so he can mix up his attack open all his offense more. If he finished punching sometimes with a left hook he wouldn't be leaning in either. It just would give opponents so much more to worry about and defend against.

I don't think Taylor has much power, except a good stiff left jab. Miranda and Pavlik have monster KO power. Miranda has a good chin too....it took a lot of Pavlik's shots to finally put him down. I rewatched this fight recently myself & noticed that Miranda didn't have the same bounce in his step that he has had in the past. And he spent way too much time focusing on Taylor before that fight instead of Pavlik & it cost him.

Vasquez seems stronger than Marquez and is able to absorb a lot of punishment. I think Marquez's best bet is to box like he did in the first fight, because if he decides to brawl...Vasquez takes him. I'd love to see a Kessler vs Pavlik fight.

Judges all had Vazquez ahead 48-47...i just saw it.... most experts love the marquez bros...... and it was close in terms of rounds but israel was really the only one doing significant damage from round 3 it was just a matter of time...... i disagree because Vazquez had 2 massive cuts on both eyes, both caused by punches, and was bleeding profusely. But yea i just checked the tape and you're right, they all had Vazquez by a point. I thought Marquez was winning i believe, ill score it for the first time tonight but its academic because of the stoppage. But all three press row scores had Marquez ahead significantly which is kinda surprising. i thought it was a point either way.

Hell no! Miranda had nothing in his punches that night. When is the last time you saw Taylor hurt someone with one punch??? Watch Edison's walk to the ring that night against Pavlik. He was so out of character, you could tell he was not himself. The dunbshit should have called of the fight earlier in the week when he knew he was not going to be able to make weight. Miranda was definetly drained but that stuff only effects you after a couple of rounds. He has time from the weigh-in till fight night to eat himself silly, which he obviusly did. After 2 or 3 rounds that stuff will wear off. BUT, He landed many hard shots in rounds 1 and 2 and they had no effect on Kelly. Im sure he'd do much better in a rematch at 18, but i still doubt he could win. And i do think Taylor is much more likely to hurt guys because of his handspeed. Doesnt hit as hard as Miranda, but he'll hurt a guy twice as often cause he'll catch them with shots they don't see coming. First of all, Pavlik has visibly improved. He probably went crazy in the gym before the Taylor fights and you can tell. He is much more polished now and more accurate. Against Miranda he was really wild and almost outta control. And he was missing a lot in the early rounds. And Second of all, looking at how Pavlik can box like he did against Taylor in 2 consecutive fights, its really wierd to see Pavlik go for broke and brawl against Miranda. Rewatch the fight, it seems like pavlik is almost out of character in the MIranda fight. lol.:bottle::bottle::bottle:
