Jermain's fans are worse than Jermain himself

There was no robbery, everyone knows there was no robbery. People just throw the term "robbery" around whenever someone they wanted to win, loses a close fight. And... "Everyone, everywhere" apparently doesn't believe that Taylor was robbed. At least not here. The polls have been a one sided blood bath in Pavlik's favor.

I wouldn't really say he outboxed Jermaine. Both of their jabs were good. Jermaine I thought did a better job countering. There wasn't a robbery it could have gone either way in my opinion.

i scored the fight only 1 round up for pavlik. taylor had some good rounds. i don't agree with pavlik being 3 up but nevermind.

i don't recall taylor complaining at all.. i'm a taylor fan, and i haven't complained either.. i thought it was a close fight in which either man could've win... y don't we just give them both the respect they deserve? let's try that out

Taylor fought in spurts and though his punches looked flashier they were not all landing....he never overcame pavliks jab which hit him at will...i had the fight a draw in the tenth... pavlik took round 11 with that body blow(which if that round had been longer he wouldnt have made it)...Pavlik outworked him in the 12...no way jermain won(not all his flashy spurts were hitting the target)

I'm thinking that these whining Taylor fans are no worse than these blind Pavlik fans. Kelly won a close decision. He didn't out box anyone Saturday...not sure what fight everyone else was watching but I saw Jermain make loads of improvements and execute a good game plan. I think he lost because Pavlik simply outworked him by throwing more and the judges went with the more active fighter who moved forward rather than the man who landed the harder shots and was more accurate-which doesn't make the decision a robbery. I also wouldn't say Kelly closed the show impressively like you said, either, though. Bias goes both ways. Taylor fans and Pavlik lovers are both a little slanted here. Objective is not a word I often feel when browsing this forum.

I live in Arkansas, and around here the Taylor fans are typical Razorback fans. Taylor lost- lots of bitching; Hogs lost- lots of bitching; on and on and on...

People have every reason to think Taylor won 7 rounds of this fight.

All I did was state that if it went to the cards, I expected it to favor Taylor, as is so often the case in Jermain's Career. (See both Hopkins fights, the Wright fight, and some would even say the Spinks fight) It just seems than anytime a fight goes to the card Jermain is always the winner, couple that with the insane scoring of their first fight (I had Taylor ahead by 1 point at the time of the KO, 2 would've been fine also) but not the large gaps that the judges had, with Pavlik winning only 1 round. In the first fight Kelly had to have won at least 3, the first, the third and the fifth. did u have Taylor infront though at that point ,even Jack Lowe knew Taylor was winning and in control at that stage

Im by no means a Taylor fan but I had him winning that one. The only thing I like about Taylor is I respect he wanted a rematch so quickly. I think its great he threw caution and his record into the wind to fight for pride.

God it seems everyone is ducking calzaghe according to his fans. He's lucky he's been fighting in Europe his whole career. I like Calzaghe but his fans are insane, everybody is ducking him according to them. Thankfully I won't have ot hear it for much longer since Bernard is set to take him out in April in fight that will be as onesided as it will be ugly.

....In terms of bitching and moaning after Jermain loses. After the first Pavlik fight Kelly was labelled "one dimensional" and some even went so far as to cal him "lucky" saying the fight should've been stopped in the second round, and that Taylor should've won it then. Then they go on and on for 5 months about how Jermain Taylor is a better boxer and more athletically gifted than Pavlik and how in a "real" boxing match, Taylor would box circles around the one dimensional "Ghost". Well Kelly outboxed Jermain tonight, constantly beating him to the punch, working harder, outjabbing him and ultimately closing the show impressively. Now all of a sudden this is a "robbery" too. Face it guys, Jermain has been spoonfed his entire career and Kelly Pavlik has his number. Whether is an all out war, or a technical boxing chess match, Kelly is just better than Jermain, get over it. I think it has something to do with Kelly's skin tone to be honest. Because before Pavlik took his title, nobody on the planet liked Jermain Taylor and thought he was "pulling a Hopkins" by beating on smaller men like Ouma and Spinks. Not to mention his gift decision against Wright, a fight that most experts agree Wright won. Nobody cries as hard as Jermain Taylor after a loss, with only the exception of his "fans". (AKA people who just hate Kelly Pavlik) Yeah true true.
