How many fighters woulda came like that after a brutal KO???? I don't necessarily think he won the fight but i don't think he lost either. Taylor is a true warrior of the sport and we should appreciate someone like that. He made no excuses in either fight.
BIG UP'S to taylor great fight I thought he won, those judges should be fired 117-111,116-112 I mean those are so far out and it really didnt make any sense. That's the type of stuff that turns alot of boxing fans away
PROPS TO TAYLOR
i was impressed with the way he bounced back tongiht
i was actually surprised about his reaction to the loss. he came to win tonight. sometimes after getting KOd fighters only try to last 12 rounds and keep it competitive.
Taylor has fought:
Hopkins, Hopkins, Wright, Ouma, Spinks, Pavlik, Pavlik
The toughest seven-fight run in boxing by far
never thought of it that way, yeah he has 2 loses but damn look at the resume. He lost to Pavli 2 times but he has 2 wins againt HOF Hopkins, even Roy Jones Lost to never will be's.

Excellent point. I have criticised Taylor in the past but nobody can doubt his willingness to take on a challenge.
I have trendemous respect for Taylor and I believe he will be a force in the SMW division if he can keep himself mentally together.
He showed up for this fight and made it close. That speaks a lot about his mental strenght after getting knocked out in his last fight.
did u even see the fight? actually the judges, and larry , and harold all had pavlik winning! great fight, hats off to taylor! he is a tough motherfucker, and will be back!
Why do you think? They make money off of Kelly Pavlik, duhhh
still mad about him and the hopkins fight? :P
just messin with ya bringer ;)
Not exactly. I just never liked him, I thought he was brought along and given the world by HBO as their new "poster child" and spoonfed until someone (Pavlik) finally came along and staked their own claim.
Jermain was only the Middleweight kingpin because of a weak division.
I don't really see what there was to appreciate about Taylor's performance tonight. He needed to hunt Pavlik down and punish him, but he was too frightened of being KO'd again. Showed Pavlik way too much respect. Sure there were some close rounds, but he didn't even really push Pavlik. Big disappointement and an opportunity missed. Sorry if that's unpopular but it's just how I saw it.
that's it right there taylor was scared to get TKO'ed again,
if he would of thrown a lil bit more he would of won the fight

but the same could be said about pavlik. he looked average 2night. WTF? Pavlik Koed Taylor last fight but didnt hit him with a punch even as close to the one that he KOed him with!!! Taylor will be a champ again!!!
I give Taylor a lot of respect for fighting Pavlik again after the Brutal knockout the first time. Also, for his change in game plan and ability to correct bad habits of the past. He stayed of the rope almost the entire fight (expect for a bit in the 11th). That said, I think he lost the fight by a slim margin.
In any event, can we all agree we don't need to make this a trilogy?
Neither fighter should be disrespected in this fight. It could've gone either way but I personally think Kelly pulled it out. If either fighter would've went to the body more, then that fighter would've been the clear victor.
That being said, all respect to JT. He fought a much more disciplined fight and he'll be a handful for any SMW.
i think taylor was holding back too much. i was rooting for taylor and although it was a close fight i had pavlik wining. had taylor thrown more punches he would have won.

hats off to taylor, but he didn't show his bad intensions this time, he fought a determined fight but they way he came out the first fight was potential,
he fought a good fight for 12 rds and he made pavlik look a bit lost;
he is a true champion no need to feel bad for his performance just got to try to go for the knock-out and don't be scare to trade shots

Are you kidding me no excuses? He gave every excuse in the book, his training , stamina, the referee should have stopped it.
Now this time its even worse for Taylor because he has no excuses left and he was not KOd this time but outboxed.

i agree pavlik was more active, but Taylor had the better high light real which is only good for fans. Judges seem to be more on those punches that land on gloves and elbow.
