All of the scoring tonight was ridiculous really it was. Pavlik-Taylor was much closer than the cards showed i actually had Taylor win but by a single round but it could have gone either way tbh.
The Navarro scoring WTF?!
12 rounds to Navaro seriously?
They need a new system, i'm tired of seeing shit judges.

Seriously, I felt the same way about Pavlik-Taylor II. Only one Judge scored it close to what the fight really was (Jarman; 115-113). The fight could've gone either way, don't get me wrong Taylor lost this fight, but not by the lopsided scores the two other judges administered. I don't know what their criteria is anymore, and this bum Ledderman is horrible...Can you believe he had Paul Williams winning by 5 points against Quintana last week?? On Sat night he had Pavlik by 5-6 points as well. I don't get it, I just don't know what these judges look for in scoring each round.
The thing that's most impressive about Pavlik is that he is decievingly strong. Taylor is a fighter that has made a career on "bullying" people backwards, he couldn't do that against Pavlik.
I will admit, Taylor was landing the harder punches and more effective jabs but Pavlik was just throwing the jab alot more and threw taylor off with just having it in his face.
Taylor wasn't busy enough, bottom line. If you can't see that you are blinded by your love for taylor. Pavlik's conditioning in insane, he kept the same pace for 12 rounds and that's what won him the fight.
If your going to have Taylor's style of fighting, you have to be busy. It's a style that dictates for you to be busy and not pot shotting whenever you get your energy back. taylor looked very good in spurts but just couldn't do it enough throught the fight to win it.
There were times where Taylor seemed to not throw punches for minutes at a time, you can't win a fight like that and I think it was due to conditioning.
Does anyone know if the dimwit judge who scored it 120-108 Navarro is being investigated? Or at least retrained, or something?? The guy should never be allowed in a stadium again unless it's as a spectator.
i thought most of Pavliks punches landed on Taylors gloves, Taylor landed the cleaner shots over the 12 rounds.
The problem is that these judges seem to class parried shots as landed. Pavlik was more active but Taylor should have won in my opinion.
Ok, so nobody thinks Spinks was robbed against Taylor, but Jermain clearly lost tonight against Pavlik??? :ugh: HBO MAFIA. :skull:
7 fucking punches a round!! WTF HOW DID SPINKS WIN HE DID FUCK ALL IN THAT FIGHT
also I remember taylor saying when he was champ "u can't beat the champ going backwards,u gotta fight the champ" if only he'd done that in the championship rounds
Me and my bro had Taylor winning a close good fight altho Jermain did not do enough in the last 2 or 3 rounds I had him winning. He counter-punched very well I thought he coulda through his right had alot more tho.
CompuBox doesn't mean anything. It's just as bad as the olympic computer system. Only CompuBox guesses A lOT at shots it can't tell was a hit or miss.
Well it would have to be at least 50% inaccurate in Taylors favour to back up your story. Which is a bit of a fairy tale I must say.

i know your not telling john scully how to score! what r u an idiot? don't answer that, your post already did. thanks!
117-111 is a disgrace, period. I thought Taylor was going to win. He was up 5-1 after 6 on my card, and there were a couple Pavlik rounds I thought Taylor could have edged. He fought really well even though he faded late, props to him.
Hard to get a close decisionwhen compubox has you landing about 100 LESS punches and throwing HALF as many, though.

I'm with you on that, I scored it 116-112 Spinks, and scored this 114-114 even. I would never bet on Taylor.

I agree John. Pavlik simply outworked him.
Taylor fought GREAT in spurts... and when he wanted to he outclassed Pavlik.. dont confuse that with winning fight though...
Pavlik was consistent from begining to end.. backed Taylor up all night.. and let's face it.. Taylor just didnt do enough..
Taylor wasn't active enough. Period. The same reason Hopkins "lost" to Taylor came back to bite Taylor in the ass. He was doing good when he let his hands go but even at the higher weight he couldn't maintain a proper amount of energy to win the fight.
Pavlik outboxed Taylor, despite all of those saying he couldn't. He beat him in the jabbing contest and he worked the full 12 rounds, closing very strong. Taylor won 4 rounds on my card. 116-112 Pavlik, 115-113 is stretching it a bit IMO but it could be argued. Anything in favor of a draw or Taylor winning is about as batshit as it gets.
