In boxing, things change on a daily basis. Yesterday, it seemed as if Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi would be poised to face Ricardo “El Mochuelo” Torres, or possibly even Ricky “Hitman” Hatton, in his next match. However, Torres’s team declined and Hatton has decided to instead face Juan “Hispanic Causing Panic” Lazcano instead May 24 in Manchester.
This means that Malignaggi has set his sights on the man Hatton has not wanted to fight for years: Junior “The Hitter”
Witter. "I want the Witter fight because it means the most at 140 pounds. I want to beat people that will prove myself in the division."
If the Witter fight does not come through, Malignaggi does still owe a rematch to Lovemore “Black Panther” N’dou, a match that would most likely take place in Malignaggi’s homeland of Sicily.
much respect to paulie if hes serious. i hope dhop is out and paulie steps in.
forget hatton.i dont see why he's still an option,he just lost and he's still jww champ, bull this is the fight that needs to happen,i'd be surprised if hatton beat torres
I think my boy Paulie would own him if he fights the right way, which means to box. He fought way too much with the last guy. If he moves then he's very hard to beat but if he trades alot then he can make all these guys beat him
Yes, YES! Make it happen!
Junior and Paulie go at it to unify the IBF and the WBC - then Hatton can fight the winner, right? With no arguments about who is and who isn't worthy, right?
to coin a forum phrase i think Witter would rape Paukie it wouldnt go 8 styles make fights and Witter p4p hits harder than Cotto that left hook is brutal.
yeah ok pal! LMFAO!
This is great news.
D-Hop pulled out of the fight and Malignaggi and Witter both need a good win to get a big fight with Hatton.
The Lovemore N'Dou rematch is a joke, his last fight against Malignaggi was as one-sided as it gets.
