Not that he was ever remotely intelligent or stable, but this fucker is falling apart.
If you bought the "Joe is scared because he's undefeated" bullshit, don't bother replying because you're too stupid to talk to me.
The Obama nonsense he pulled was insulting and embarrassing.
The "whiteboy" comment was desperation.
He feels inferior, he is inferior.
And he's losing his mind over this. It's too much for him. He'd be better pulling out and signing a rematch with Tito :lol1:
Maybe he could fight Taylor if Taylor loses again, then he could redeem himself on another "whiteboy's" leftovers :lol1:

Undisputed Champion
Can you name anyone on hall of fame status that was on Marvin Hagler's resume from his own weightclass?
No, but they fit into the weight. Trinidad perfectly fit into the weight. He still had most of his power and just got skilled by the technical boxer. He was huge at 154 and knocked out William Joppy in 5. Trinidad wasn't "oversized" he was just outmatched. Carmen Basillo weighed 153 when he beat Sugar Ray Robinson back in the 50s. Hopkins was just the better outboxer and Trinidad always had problems with the outboxer type. De La Hoya showed us that.
Speaking of De La Hoya, you could argue that he was out of his weight class. Which I somewhat agree with because it kinda showed he was unlike trinidad, but he did put up a good effort against Hopkins. He also put up a close fight against Strum too, who he probably underestimated seeing as how De La Hoya came in the worst shape of his career.
Though both of these fighters chose to come up. It wasn't Hopkins fault and I'm damn sure that Calzaghe would take a fight with Trinidad and De La Hoya if he was in Hopkins situation.
Bernard also has some very good names. Not stand out star names, but people like John David Jackson, Keith Holmes, Antwon Echols, etc. (Not Morrade Hakkar though...) and it makes his resume a good one.
thank you becuase these idiots don't really know boxing cause as soon as they make them statement they damn near discredit everyone that ever box. i hope they find something new to come up with. the point of have a HOF person on resume is to show how good you are. great fighters fight other greater fighters. just cause you win a belt don't make you great sometimes it just mean your good sometimes barely that.

Can you name a hall of famer from Hopkins' weight class on his resume? Remember kids: people who beat you don't count. So you can't say Roy Jones Junior.

sorry for the DLT long type post

hop is a moron and will lose..
UD
yes he have but b-hop has those extra things in his arsenal to beat him.
please honestly name me another hall famer on his resume and not kessler cause we still have to see him after defeat

I'm sorry dude but if calzaghe gets the same hopkins that tarver got calzaghe is in for a looooooong night. and there is no reason why hopkins wont be in the same condition and fight the same fight he did against tarver. hopkins is a smart fighter and waaay better then anything joe has faced.
i don't think that will give you a good assement because is to differnent than joe. winky has that damn shell defense which is hard to break i looked at the keith holmes and tito fight cause of there style holmes was taller and big and was known for jabbing alot and tito cause i loved it plus he is a come forward type of fighter
You really think Calzaghe's style is comparable to Tito's?
Calzaghe hasn't won championships?
yes he have but b-hop has those extra things in his arsenal to beat him.

The only problem with those fights is that they were so long ago. I don't think he has the speed or reaction time to pull of some of the things he was doing back in '01.

Sorry, I am so late in my reply. I'm at work. What I was trying to say, is that the previous person who commented was stereotyping all african decent boxers. I was simply explaining that he is saying about the same as if we were talking about a comparable white chess player stereotype. In other words: Not all black boxers think they shouldnt get beat by a white boxer and not all white chess players think they shouldnt get beat by a black chess player. (based on the fact that chess is dominated mostly by whites and boxing is or was mostly dominated by blacks.)
good damn point
No offense, but often people mistake the confusion and disdain that classy people feel in front of classless people for "fear." It's not fear, if you don't have real class, if you don't have a solid background and a certain degree of self-respect, you probably don't get it.
My point is directed at these kids who think "he went to prison, that's going to scare Joe."
While I don't believe Joe is "scared" in any way you said that people make the mistake of interpreting "confusion and disdain for fear that classy people feel in front of classless people."
I wouldn't say that. Be honest, it somewhat puts you on guard when you know you have a live-wire in front of you. Someone who really doesn't give a shit about putting his hands on you, taking a jab at you in front of however many people are around. It might not be full on "fear" but your slightly nervous. And that shouldn't be confused with "disdain."
I still need to see the Hopkins Wright fight. That will obviously give me a better assessment as to how he will do. Especially since Winky sort of turned into a volume puncher recently

i give you that but whats crazy is if watch that hatton fight watch it closely cause mayweather pulled a page out of hopkins book in that fight

Hopkins isn't intimidated at all. Calzaghe seems very confident too.
I love it!
"Nobody trash talks like the Americans."
Kick his fucking ass B-Hop!
On another note, during the Mayweather/Hatton fight I had a house full of people and I would say of the 30 people there of all ages and races...maybe 3-4 were Mayweather fans. But when they boo'ed our anthem and the fight initially appeared close (mostly because of Lederman's card), when Floyd closed the fight everyone in the house cheered because through the course of 1 fight they became Mayweather fans. And I don't expect the B-Hop/Calzaghe fight to be any different.
No he gets hit more
i give you that but whats crazy is if watch that hatton fight watch it closely cause mayweather pulled a page out of hopkins book in that fight
Also, I'd like to point out that I thought Kessler was doing a pretty damn good job for the first 4 or 5 rounds or so, and possibly was winning the fight. Then it seemed all of a sudden he lost all confidence because he didn't hurt Joe or whatever and everything went down hill from there. I actually felt like if Kessler was more experienced, or had a plan b or c and adjusted in the ring, he could have won. Joe looked really shaky to me in the first quarter or so of the fight. But that's just me.
I don't think Hopkins can get frustrated if he doesn't hurt Joe. That's probably expected and hopkins like you said is great at making adjustments in the ring.
i agree with you but what made it so hard to score in the first couple rounds was that damn joe kept doing them slap flurries. i think kessler should have and could have won but didn't keep working the jab and double jab with the uppercut behind it... the fight remind me of the last fight i went which was cotto vs. zab zab had everything in the arsenal showed flash but couldn't capitalize on it
he do throw not as much as you like. "and lets face it Hopkins is no PBF" what do you mean by that? cause neither one of them throw a lot of shots but when they do they make it count
No he gets hit more.
You can have a great defense but if you don't throw, you're not going to win fights. Calzaggie may not have the best defense but he has great footwork, he move in and out of range very well. If he's in range he will be throwing, and lets face it Hopkins is no PBF, and landing.
