after the judah fight cotto said he got caught with 2 punches that he felt after the mosley fight he didn't say anything about moselys punches that would indicate that he was hurt
Toincito is a member of the entourage, support team, and close personal confidant of Miguel Cotto, so you can consider this one confirmed.
Cotto was hurt 3 times or more. :killyou: :killyou: :killyou:
the abdulaev fight cotto fights going back thru the majority of the fight
Exactly. Cotto has shown that he can fight going backwards/against the ropes as well
Look at round 11.
Cotto moving back and landing shots.
Cotto executed another game plan, which he lacked in previous fights (Judah, Torres)

Right, but people still call that running. Just ask Floyd.

Since when? Universally speaking that is categorically incorrect.

I do think the commentators initially altered some peoples' perception. Not with the big punch that landed, but before that when Cotto was backing up they assumed he was hurt or fading when he wasn't. They said the same exact thing in the Pinto fight when he was giving a different look.
Honestly, I don't remember a particular punch or sequence that seemed to hurt Cotto when that was happening, so I basically agree.
First people complain when Cotto comes in and fight saying that he's one dimensional. Then when he boxes everyone complains.
It never stops.
Its not called running if you're landing clean shots.

I don't disagree. If I recall correctly however, most of the Cotto supporters on this forum said at the time that Cotto wasn't hurt during that sequence. They felt the HBO commentary team's remarks were leading, and misleading, effectively planting this false impression that he was hurt.

"No not once"
hahahahahahahahah uh? huh?
He fucking smarted him and COTTO RAN AWAY FROM MOSLEY.
Classic. I totally agree. Somehow that isn't enough for some people.
How, and why, I will never know.
Its 54" HD Sony Bravia. 1080i
Not saying I know, but you can clearly see that Cotto wasn't hurt. Cause he was moving back? Ooh man.
I thought Mosley hurt him in the 3rd, but what do I know? Shane just stepped back and allowed Cotto to recover and keep fighting..
in my opinion, that poll is ridiculous. I mean how are we, as spectators, going to say how many times Mosley hurt Cotto? For all we know, he could have hurt Cotto a hundred times. Just because we don't see a punch land cleanly, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. It's a fight, and it didn't end in the first round so of course he got hurt.
