What About Clottey?

Im reading all these threads about the WW's and matches people want to see. Every top WW's name is involved except for Clottey. Where does he fit in? Even Berto has now past him in terms of fights you want to see. He hasnt looked completey dominating but he's still won pretty much all his fights except for the Margarito fight which alot of people think he wouldve won if it wasnt for the hand injury. Does he deserve a shot? Where do you rank him and who do you think would beat him. Really, I think he is the most avoided guy in the division. I ve never bought the hype of Margarito & Williams being avoided because it simply wasnt true at all. Maybe they couldnt get the fights that they wanted but there were always a ton of good fighters who wouldve fought them. I dont feel that way about Clottey. I think he's in a bad spot where I dont think people really fear him but they wont fight him unless they have too and they dont have to right now because he has no belts and no box office appeal. Still, I would love to see him get one more shot to see how good he really is

Clottey is the IBF mandatory, I am not sure but maybe he gets a shot at the winner of this fatal fourway. Actually he could have been IN this fatal four way against Cotto.

Floyd, Cotto, Mosely, Margarito, Quintana, Cintron, P. Williams, Collazo, Berto, Estrada Estrada fought a lot of tough guys. Berto is a great prospect. Thats just what i think, don't get me wrong clottey is right around here, but he's a little overrated

i think clottey is over rated. his only decent fight was against margarito. and margarito is losing a lot of clout with the loss of paul williams sat. night. clottey is tough and good stamina, but i think there are 10 welterweights above him. Ten WW above Clottey??? Please Name them because I'm curious.

you know Clottey is the IBF mandatory challenger right? I would have to think that his status in the IBF should grant him a title shot in the very near future.

yea i would like to see him and berto go at it for a next match up. I would like to see Berto fight Quintana next, but it seems people are going to be lining up to fight Quintana now and Berto will probably be left out of the mix. So Clottey would be a good choice. It would be a step up and if he were to win it would give him more leverage in future fights. The thing is though Clottey is very capable of winning and even though Im a Berto fan, I think Clottey could pull out the victory.

Clottey is a guy that's kind of left out of the equation. Maybe a fight between him and Berto would be a good one. It would be a tough test for Berto and probably a risk because Clottey could very well pull that fight off. Well see who steps up and takes the risk.
