His Grandparents on his fathers side are from Italy..or Sicily I think..(For the yanks, thats the large Island off the boot of Italy , and is part of Italy..."Get an Atlas already"..) His father came to the UK when he was 2 years old....... His Mother is from Wales. Joe was born in England and brougt up in Wales... Joe is British.....with an Italian father who can't speak Italian... Calzaghe is British with Italian relatives on his fathers side..It's not that difficult..

Are you stupid? A lot of Welsh people have Italian heritage. I also have Italian heritage. It's no coincidence Enzo Maccarinelli, the other Welsh champion has Italian roots. Infact both Jones and Hopkins are Welsh surnames, are they Welsh? no...

It's like in America where my family can be Dominican, Puerto Rican or Mexican but I was born and raised in the U.S.A.
