Ummm I regret to inform all of you that no one won the thread PREDICTION TIME becuz Carlos Quintana has pulled off the upset of the year next to the Giants beating the Patriots. At this point, Im utterly shocked, disappointed, and at a loss for words. Ill comment on what took place tonight later. This is just my 2 cents. I know boxing.

Williams by a VERY wide UD over Quintanna Berto earns a hard fought UD over Trabant I'm not sold on Wilson. He has good power and thats it so I rather not give my pick on him. Flores and Wilson is a great matchup for FNF i expect this one to be a very entertaining fight, im expecting roughly three times the action of de la hoya/mayweather and for FREE it seems most people are going with wilson here, but i suspect its just a case of picking the guy with the catchier nickname. im gonna take flores to win a UD, he may even stop Wilson on his feet later in the fight. wouldnt be surprised at all to see flores dropped once or twice and win every other round a la peter/klitschko this is just great matchmaking though and the type of fight (if made consistently) that can elevate FNF and allow it to land some bigger names. i love fights of this contrast, tall rangy boxer/puncher against short brickshithouse powerpuncher.I lobbied hard for this fight for a while and ever since the momnet its been made I have worried about it. I like Darnell, nice guy and great for the sport. I've talked to him a couple of times, and we're not friends but you can tell he is genuinely cool. Plus some of the guys from his gym are loyal followers, and that says something about him as a person. And BJ, well, we know he's my boy so; thats obvious. BJ has needed to step up the comp for some time, and I am a bit nervous for him because he was dropped by Chris Thomas. However, the more I talked to the kid and the more focused he sounded, the more confident I am that he will keep focused. Flores is leagues above Wilson in talent, but he has loses focus in a fight and can and has been caught. he has a decent chin, but Chris Thomas dropping him worried me. However, I saw video of his work with Rahman, and Hasim can't handle a cruiserweight, he shouldn't be fighting anymore.

is there gunna be odds. like if we were betting real money. like if you call the round cause i gamble a lot especially on big boxing matches. and called the rounds on pavlik taylor I and mayweather hatton and won big money. so i mean maybe it'll be beter if theres different odds on each round or better odds for a KO if the fighter isnt a KO artist and what not. I didnt want to make it too elaborate. I figured it would be in the same vein as a pool, or a lottery. Everyone makes a prediction and buys-in to the thread. Different fights will have different buy-ins, like a craps table in Vegas. The more people who cast a prediction, the bigger the pool gets. Whoever makes the correct prediction collects all the money in the pool. If theres more than 1 winner, the pool money is split.

Good contributions thus far. I want to set up a prediction thread like this weekly when there are fights. Been thinking to do it for a few weeks, see how the reception is and them maybe introduce a buy in for the predictions. I know alot of u guys have e-money on the board and bet on fights and what not. Ive been thinking it might be cool if for the Prediction Time threads theres like a buy in to make a prediction, and whoever gets it right collects the pool of money. If no1 gets it right, everyone keeps their loot. What do ya think?
