Copied and pasted from boxrec forums:
"You can't put Joe in the category of best super middleweights ever as he hasn't fought anyone decent. If he had achieved what he did ten years earlier when we were around then you could argue he'd be the best of all time.
"But we were the best. Even 'Marvellous' Marvin Hagler wouldn't have lasted in our era!
"Joe couldn't choose what era he boxed in and that's just unfortunate."
"Back in the day when Bernard Hopkins was around, you had fighters like Sumbu Kalambay, Nigel Benn, Reggie Johnnson, Roy Jones JR, Mike McCallum, Gerald McClellan, James Toney, Michael Watson, Chris Eubank and many more talented contenders rated above Hopkins.
"I would not have classed 'The Executioner' as a threat."
"Joe is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the World today, but he may not have even been in the Top Ten of the middleweights or super middleweights in the late 1980s or early to mid 1990s."
"Eubank was finished as a fighter by the time Joe fought him. I know this for a fact, because I hit him harder than I've ever hit anybody in our first fight in Mill Street. And I hit him for 12 rounds.
"In our second fight, I could tell Chris was a shot fighter, and that was from the punches I landed in Mill Street."
Steve Collins is an idiot.
If I was asked to name anyone who looked good because they picked fighters coming off their prime, it would be Steve Collins. He can say what he wants, but he retired as much because of the beating he knew he would take if he stayed on.
is this the same Steve Collins who pulled out of a match with Calzaghe because he knew he would get knocked out.
yes it is, as i posted earlier the fight wassigned but at the press conferences collins didnt look like the wanted the fight then retired cause he knew his ass was gunna get kicked.

Collins was a boring ass fighter who's only claim to fame is beating up old men. He should go back to fighting in pubs.
Haha Steve.
Joe Calzaghe was unfortunate to be around at a time when the competition was poor. Though it could be argued that he should have moved up in weight a long time ago.
Hopkins has a great resume but all against smaller guys.
