Wlad is the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. Feb 23rd he will prove it. Wlad is unstoppable, Wlad will KO all the suckers put in the ring with him now.
First time since 1999 beaches!!!!!!
Wlad wont be undisputed champion or even THE champion by beating Sultan and gaining the WBO belt. That belt has nothing to do with being Undisputed and the lineage of Sultans claim to be champion go as far back as.....Wlad getting knocked out by Brewster for the vacant WBO title! So it brings nothing to the table and is not a fight against a great fighter who is even ranked highly in reality, its an easy win for wlad but doesnt tell us much or make his claim to be champion any greater than Maskaev/Peter, Chagaev or even Vitali for that matter since he held Ring and WBC and beat the true lineage of the WBO belt by beating sanders after he was stripped for facing the WBC champ.
an in shape sultan that has time to prepare for a fight is a very difficult guy to beat. he didnt win an olympic silver medal for nothing. sultan is going to give wlad much more problems then most of you think. hes extremely quick and intelligent in the ring
Damn Rights my brotha....Wlad is gonna KO Sultan and become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the world. Only 3 weeks to go bro.:boxing:

alphabet organizations will prevent it.
they'll find a reason to strip wlad or whomever is on the road to getting all the belts.
Well still know who the real champ is.....Wlad!:boxing:
Don't know about him unifying, Chagaev has showed he is bound to run away from the big challenges that might take away his belt, and his brother is after the WBC belt.
Anyway, if he beats Ibragimov and then defends his belts against top 10s Thompson and Povetkin, it will take him a long way to certify who is the top HW.
Wladimir Klitschko is a monster.. And no one in the heavyweight divison can stop him, for real. He'll unify and he'll smack all the Contenders around.
People can't really say every fighter with power would beat him, his last loss was in 2003 (If I remember correctly) to Brewster. He's a different and more expierenced fighter now. He beats any heavyweight out there. I just hope I one day get to see him crush that 13 year old kid on steorids, Povetkin .
I am going with the consensus and picking Wlad in this one. It just seems foolish to pick against him at this point. Yet, I do it with reservations. My boxing matchup sensibilities scream at me to go in the other direction. Let me explain.
Why has Wlad had such a resurrection to be the clear top HW in the world? Is it his power? Other heavies have great power. Is it his height? Other heavies have great height. Is it his height and power combined? Fewer have that, but they still exist. Heart? Maybe. But mostly, it has been his jab. His jab keeps everyone in position for the nuclear explosion of his right. Ask Calvin Brock.
So what is the problem? Ibragimov being a southpaw is part of the problem. You can't really jab a southpaw effectively from the right handed stance if he doesn't want you to, no matter how good your jab is. This is especially true in terms of slick southpaws, which against all predictions and logic is what Sultan has transformed into. The one punch that has made Wlad special and different from the man who was KO'd by three midlevel heavies (who Sutlan would go at least 2-1, probably 3-0 against) will not be a factor in this fight. Sultan, if he is aggressive and does not fight scared, will be able to get in and land quite often.
Yet, Wlad is so much physically superior that I pick him anyway, but I definitely have more reservations than most about the fight.
Smart man, line em' up and Wlad will KO em'.
Beatin a guy that cant beat Ray Austin and barely scarpes past a 46 year old Holyfield is really nothing to get excited about, the WBO belt is completley irrelevant to becoming Undisputed champion anyhow, until he beats a real fighter, if any ever appear, then Wlad is just another belt holder.
another moron judging sultan on one lousy performance. he was 232 lbs for that fight. he's clearly a much better fighter when he's at his normal weight of 220 lbs,,which he was in all his prior and subsequent fights. he's an olympic silver medalist and legit top heavyweight. end of story. I love how you try to discredit wlad before each and every one of his fights

I agree 100% with this. southpaws are very difficult to reach with the jab and sultan also has good movement. wlad will have trouble,,,at least for a while. the question is does sultan have enough pop to really make wlad unravel? thats the bigger question. I think wlad does catch him eventually,,,but sultan will have his moments and is a much liver underdog than many are thinking. he's not going to come in out of shape ala austin and stand right in front of wlad as he did with austin
Uh cuz... Wlad gets KO'd ever time his chin gets touched.
and as of nov 2007 Vitali was still the champ "emeritus" or some such bullshit and demanding a fight against Maskaev or whoever could hand him a title..
yea,,,we know genius. he does indeed get knocked out everytime he's so much as touched. he's 3-49 with 44 knockout losses
Well you know any fight he is in will be exciting....
Just a matter of time before his chin gets tapped and hes down sniffin the canvas again...Sultan? I doubt it..Mask?..maybe...Prob Briggs has as good a shot as any early on...and maybe Peter or McCline too....ANYONE really can KO him he's shown that.
He's already beaten Peter and McCline, although I would like to see him fight Peter again.
Wlad

LOL!! You think someone can beat Wlad right now? Wlad is going to beat the breaks off sultan.
So instead of answering anything at all in my post, you give a response that is exactly what my original post indicts.
How about that?

I am not a fan of Wlad but respect due. He's suprised me the past few years and has come back after his KO losses to really prove he is the best in the HW division at the moment. I do think Sultan could give him trouble and possibly score the upset......but smart money says Wlad stops him in the middle rounds. Good thing points don't really matter I guess because I just felt like going with the upset on this one.
NO MORE BETS for those wondering.:boxing:
Agreed! Nothing can stop Klit....he just too big, too strong, and too skilled for anyone in the heavyweight division right now. Line them up and they are all getting stretched!
What is the point of these type of threads?
I know damn well they aren't for discussion purposes, because anyone who even attempts to examine the other side of the coin is immediately deemed both a hater and a racist...
So why do you all put these threads up?
LOL!! You think someone can beat Wlad right now? Wlad is going to beat the breaks off sultan.
