Well, I'm pulling for Darchinyan on this one. Hopefully he can be safe enough to not get KO'd ala Donaire, but still get his hits in there. The judges are relatively neutral, so I don't think there'll be any robberies.
Cec Perkins of Australia, Montol Suriyachand of Thailand, and Jonathan Davis of Manila are apparently to be the judges after several changes due to complaints from both sides.
I'd love to go to Thailand. The problem is that I can't be on a fucking plane for 16 hours. If I do I'm never coming back, lol. But I really do like Thai people and it would be nice to live in luxury for what would barely get me by here.
Yea...the plane ride is rough. Bring a MP3/Video player W some movies on it and a few valuum and you'll be fine though.
Hey bro, am interested to know who's your pick and why?
My money's on Darchinyan, but not much. Just $140 and parlayed in with the Patriots/Klitschko and some of the stronger Saturday night favorites. I actually hedged it slightly with Gorres in with the same bunch.
A lot of people are pointing to Darchinyan's last fight with Catubay and how it was so difficult for Darchinyan to get him out of there. But Catubay lost every single round just trying to keep himself from getting knocked out. Gorres isn't Catubay, I know.
I rely pretty heavily on pro cappers and some guys who have been betting boxing for many many years opinions when it comes to risking my money. I'm picking Darchinyan. But I wouldn't be surprised if Gorres won this one though. It's hard to find someone who's taking a strong side. The odds are pretty much showing that too.

I'm definitely rooting for Gorres and I think he has enough to win but Darchinyan always has that punchers chance plus a bit more since he's such a big puncher. I guess I'd pick Gorres but he needs to fight a smart fight and hopefully he gets Vic out of there like Donaire did. I think Vic is very limited and most good fighters can exploit him as long as they stay smart and don't get caught, we also know vic's chin isn't rock solid. So, Gorres by UD or late tko, but wouldn't bet on it.
how did you end up there/ what do you do there? if you don't mind me askin, that just sounds interesting to me.Hey bro, am interested to know who's your pick and why?
Yea, I know. I live in Thailand. I was just going by 5dimes. They had the fight starting at 10pm EST Friday. Which is morning time in Asia the next day. Should of been 10am EST Saturday. They still haven't caught onto their mistake because the line is still gone. You live in thailand? so we have the same time zone. Fight will be shown here for free at solar sports at exactly 8 pm.
Take a vacation over here to check it out sometime. Satellite dishes are easily available and all the modern conveniences are available in the cities (huge discos, internet, big shopping malls, movie theatres, pizza hut, mcdonald's etc etc), just depends on your wad. Inexpensive rent, food (if you like Thai), and the women... Well... You can probably guess. I've had months where I've spent less than $400 on EVERYTHING. But that was living pretty sparse (food/cheap guest house/internet shop a couple hours a day...Couple beers a week)

If you live in Thailand why does your location say Las Vegas? lol
Even though I've spent the last 13 out of 15 months or so in Thailand, still consider Vegas my home base. Plus I'm too lazy to change it back and forth.

Originally got sick of the women in Vegas, so came here for cheap food, cheap rent and cheap women. Hate to sound so base, but I own my shit. Wasn't only those reasons though... Really wanted to see other parts of the world and Thailand is about as far from west coast America as you can get. Originally planned on teaching English here, but that fell by the wayside.
Spent 8 months here. Found an awesome girl here. Really down to earth and beautiful. Went back to Vegas to work for a few months this past summer just to add to the bank roll. Now have been back in Thailand for about 5 months.
Have seen some more of Asia too. Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and China.
Now just basically chilling. Probably going back to Vegas within the next couple months to visit family and maybe work for a bit.

NO :( Which is why I keep beggin' RBR's. Hard to find Sopcast links and most of the connections here aren't fast enough most of the time anyways.
Oh, too bad. I've thought about living in Thailand but hearing things like that keep me in the urban jungle. Sawadee (sp) :)
You're in Thailand! Are you able to see HBO, Showtime, or PPV live there?

When its morning here, its night time in Asia. Example, saturday morning here, saturday night here.
I be heading to work around the fight starts here, gonna have to wait 10 hours later to find the result. Hope Gorres win.

I was wrong regardless. Looks like 5dimes has issues with knowing the difference between AM and PM. Thought it was a little funny they had the fight starting in the morning time in the Phillipines.
