Ulli Wegner was a great amateur boxer, 170 fights I think. Anyway, he's a much better trainer than McGirt or Floyd Sr.

Yes, Whitaker is a trainer and he beat both McGirt and Mayweather. I'm not sure if he is a high profile trainer but he does train Calvin Brock and Joel Julio. He has also offered to train Zab Judah.

do you think he can adapt to being a trainer? It may seem like a former fighter is best suited to be a trainer but that may not always be the case. But Sweet Pea should be aight

McGirt was the best fighter.

Based on record I go with Mcgirt. He was a two division champ . Mayweather talked alot but rarely came through. I'm trying to think of other high-profile trainers who used to be fighters. Freddie Roach was a journeyman. Floyd Mayweather Sr. was still in the toddler stage of his career when he got his leg gatted. I don't think Emanuel Steward was a fighter. So does anyone have anyone else that is better than Buddy McGirt?

Rodger was actually pretty decent, as well as Roach, I think McGirl has the best looking resume, and while there not trainers, Kenny Bayless and Richard Steele were decent as well
