Why is pavlik vs taylor2 okay and mayweather vs oscar2 not??

Why???!!!! How about because the 2nd rd alone in Pavlik-Taylor, had more action than the entire Mayweather-Oscar fight!

Taylor vs Pavlik 2 or 3 or even 4 will always be better because they will actually fight each other. No one wants to see the so called best boxer in the history of the world claim he is going to deystroy and old has been and when they get in the ring he runs away all night.

I think Taylor would of lost respect if he didn't fufill the rematch clause. Good point raised earlier on about which fight you would watch if they were on the same night, I think I am among the majority who would prefer to watch taylor pavlik live over may dlh.

taylor was on the floor so the second round ment nothing, oscar went into the fight with no prior fight and gave him a good fight, this time around it looks like mayweather is going to have the inactivity going into this fight You are missing the point my little mutant friend. The Taylor/Pavlik is happening because Taylor was the undisputed middleweight champion of the world and that Pavlike loss was his first official loss. He was ranked top 10 p4p by everybody. He deserves a rematch to avenge his one and only loss and Delahoya doesn't. Plain and simple english.....

Pavlik clearly won the fight, Oscar vs mayweather was one point away from draw.(your scoring doesn't matter only the judges do, and Evey body likes different things.) Taylor and Oscar were both champions so the both deserve a rematch. The Taylor rematch wont be happening at 160 and it seems like Oscar vs Floyd wont happen at 154. the divisions were the champ lost there belts. There are better fights out there for Floyd but there are just as many for pavlik. So my question is why is Taylor and pavlik rematch OK but people are bitch-en about the Oscar mayweather fight? (besides entertainment, they are both good calls) If you don't like the tread don't waste your time and others by simply saying you think its a dumb thread. #1- there was a rematch clause #2- DLH has only really beat one opponent(Mayorga) in the the last 4.5 years and that opponent is mediocre. #3- Taylor has only lost to Pavlik, they are both hungry young and competitive, and if Taylor takes a different approch to the fight he has a very good chance of beating Pavlik. #4- DLH is a cross-dresser

To answer the thread! Its ok because Taylor put up a really good fight and PBF basically blew right threw Oscar! To a point where PBF could have done much more but chose to win by an easy U.D. You were prolly crying Oscar won after the fight and now you're saying easy UD for pbf LOL

Of course there's the mandatory rematch clause, but for me I would rather see Pavlik/Taylor II becuase even though Pavlik won by KO, I think Taylor has a decent shot of turning it around. Mayweather I think will win the rematch easier and there are better fights and more relevant fights out there for Mayweather.

Because Talyor vs Pavlik was an awesome fight and people want to see it again.

I'm not really sure how much more Cotto is expected to establish himself. Even $ wise. My question is how much of this is because people are mad that the fight didnt live up to the hype? Meh, that really has little to do with it, as far as I'm concerned. I actually really enjoyed the first fight. Now a Mayweather/Hatton rematch... That might just send me into fits.

why pavlik-taylor II good? = because IMO it was fight of the year for 2007, not only that kelly pavlik was an underdog in the fight, having being knocked down many fans expected taylor to win until pavlik got back and pulled an upset in the 7th round to score a TKO. in this rematch taylor will have a chance at getting redemption. why mayweather-dlh NOT okay? = to me, the fight was one of the most pathetic fights i've seen in 2007 with many hoping to be a great fight, it broke tremendous records from past ppv (like lewis v.s holyfield, & tyson-lewis) oscar dlh was an underdog in the fight, mayweather won the fight via a close split decision, the rematch everyone knows mayweather will win again but it's a pointless rematch, mayweather just wants more money since in may 5 he only got 20 mil, in this rematch he's hoping to get more $ (:no:).

As I think about it. I don't guess I'm so much against the Floyd/DLH fight. I think I'm just more dissapointed in it, from a fan standpoint. Floyd's not getting any younger himself. He chances breaking his hand(s) in every fight now. I guess what I'm trying to say is.. He already has all the money he'll need in three lifetimes. Why not spend the precious time you have left in this sport, securing your legacy as an all time great, rather than fighting guys you've already beat just to pad your bankroll even more. And I hope he beats DLH, and then fights Cotto. Let's say he loses to DLH. The fight with Cotto loses some of it's excitement, imo. Because then, if he loses to Cotto..
