Maybe that's why he wasn't throwing much punches because he was tired and didn't train the right way for a big time fight. I mean if you can't train your balls off for a fight that if you win could lead to bigger and better things. Then either he changes his ways or does something else to make a living.
It was really weird. It sounded to me like he was saying that Eddie was goofing off training or something.
This is what I think.
I think that Eddie was cuttin short his strength and conditioning training in the gym saying that he is getting plenty of training playing basketball with the boys and swimming.
His father probably said something like, "Eddie, you gotta work on your conditioning more. I barely see you jump rope".
And Eddie went like "Oh don't worry, I'm playing basketball every day for hours and hours with the boys, sweating my ass off, I'm in good shape, don't worry"
And now it backfired.
yea i heard that too. idk, swimming is great for conditioning, and i cant imagine basketball being harmful...
maybe he means a change of pace in training, but i doubt he woulda made that decision in the ring directly after the fight
