Hes a bantam wieght amatuer fighter very gd one at that to but hes not allowed to fight anymore because he tried to escape cuba ffs! i hate cuba they just waste there talent why cant they escape cuba? screwed up country anyway heres a few vids of him.
Hes also consider better then gamboa :O
Nah he isnt,Gamboa was born December 1981,hes just turned 26
Guillermo was born in Sep 1980,making him 27 or 28
I stand corrected. I thought Gamboas was december 23 of 1980. thanks
Guillermo is younger than gamboa by a few months, I hink he would be more known here in america than gamboa, guillermo has not lost to any big tournaments unlike gamboa.

Wow, just WOW. That is truly a waste of talent. He would be one hell of a pro.

If he was as good in the pro's as he was the amateurs, yep,so do i
You know as well as anyone budd, you have got to love the prospects. So much skill and so much hunger. It's always good to see a boxer coming up trying to make a name for themselves.
I think 28 or 29,if he did turn pro,i think he would have went for a title in like 10 fights
Something tells me he would have came out victorious as well.
True they would be a problem but I don't think they would ever face off. How old is Guillermo anyway?

guillermo is like almost 28 now isnt he lol
So he got gold in the olympics at 18, wow the talent in Cuba is insane but alot of their amatuers are groomed solely to be boxers.
I dont know, from the clips,Guillermo looks like a master defensive fighter with great counter punching abilities and power,Gamboas got a swag about him,hes very agressive, yet has solid reflexes where he can slip nearly every punch thrown, and has mind blowing Shane Mosley type speed,i think we would be talking about both of these fighters if Rigondeaux turned pro,and making debates who would win

The reason he came back to Cuba was because of fear of what would happen to his family. Otherwise we would be talking about him being the best prospect out, not Gamboa.
