I've got sopcast downloaded and installed just fine, but when I try connecting to a channel (any channel), the channel buffers, gets a good connection rate, but stays on a black screen, and it flickers a white flash every 5-10 seconds. No audio or video, yet it says I'm connected.
It's not the first time I've had this reoccuring problem with the program, anyone else having difficulty with it? Is it me or does sopcast get more and more unreliable with each passing fight?

like contemputer said. do what you have been doing and right click on the black screen and click properties and copy the location number (should be http://127.0.0.1:8902/ ) Then open VLC, click file, then open nework stream. Click the HTTP bit and paste the location in there and press ok. and it should load!!
VLC in general is usfull as it plays any video format
lemmie know if this works
You are my hero. Everything works perfectly, and it's even the official HBO stream with their commentary crew. Good karma, 5 star rating, and 5K donation on it's way.

I'm having trouble even downloading the software. Does anyone know if there's an alternative to Sopcast for tonight's fights...
I'd like to know this as well. Surely there's a winamp agent out there somewhere. I'm going to start digging.
on the streams that give you the flickering screen, you need to use VLC player. Open the stream in sopcast, let it buffer, then open up VLC, click the file tab, then choose open network stream, click the http tab, then enter 127.0.0.1:8902 (if not working, try port 8912). Hope this helps
