There has to be some alphabet organization to stop this, isn't there? They should strip Floyd of the title if he doesn't fight Cotto! I would rather see Floyd whoop on Cotto than De La Hoya. I'd also rather see De La Hoya fight Cotto. Now Miguel Cotto fights Gomez.....I smell BS
All oscar did was flurry wildly and land a couple of jabs. He didn't do anything to even consider giving him the fight.
there were rounds were the jab was more then what floyd did. oscar went to the body a couple of times that made rounds go his way. activity was what made the fight close. floyd also caught lots of glove with his punches just like oscar caught shoulder and elbows
People who thought De la Hoya won have to kiss my white-redish ass.
they can kiss your ass for scoreing diffrently? for likeing diffrent things? i had it for mayweather when i wanted oscar to win but i could see some rounds going either way
Exactly man. I too think DLH has the tools to beat him. His base plan was just all wrong last time. He can do it. I also think this fight will be much better than the last one. People seem to forget that Oscar can fight. I also had the rematch scored for DLH.
I would slice of the tip of my own pecker before I give that pansy money grubber Goldie De la Hoya one more cent EXCEPT if he fights Cotto to see him get bloodily beaten up.
Why would you be in such a hurry to take all of your manhood away?
To me it just seems like a money fight. Nothing else.
even if it is, it they manage to get over them selfs and put on a great undercard, the mass amount of people who will buy this fight might get introduced to new young talent helping boxing out in a big way.
I also hear senior will train oscar this time around so more drama will be involved, and floyd just knocked out hatton so i see many people watching this fight
mayweather had a close fight with castillo witch many fans belive castillo won(fans oppinion dont meant shit its up to judges) in the rematch he made it clear he was in a nother league then castillo.
againts oscar the fight was almost a draw if it were not for the one judge who gave the 12 to floyd, so this is his chance to make it clear that he is the better fighter.
i belive oscar does better in rematches i had him winning his rematch againts mosely(my opinion means shit since the judges saw it for mosely
To me it just seems like a money fight. Nothing else.
Your right rematches do help out certain fighters legacy, but I think Mayweather can help out his legacy a lot more by fighting the younger and in their prime WW's of today instead of taking another huge payday by fighting DLH.

DLH can do better next time around if he keeps pumping his jab like he did the first 6 rounds of the first fight but I doubt he'll win. Mayweather has better opponents at 147 to fight.
I just don't see how ANYONE can call the first one a good fight. Goldie fights are rarely entertaining, and that one certainly wasn't. Very few solid punches were landed and it had long periods on inactivity. Floyd won comfortably. The few round De La Hoya won is because Floyd took them off for some reason.
I honestly believe Floyd could have beat De La Hoya up but didn't because that would have negated a rematch. Now he is getting his wish.
the rounds oscar won are due to his jab, if you watch the fight he was finding him with the jab, suddenly the jab stopped and floyd won the fight. if oscar keeps with his jab i think he can beat him, will he most likely not, but he has proven that he can make it a close fight.
remember only on point in a judges score card kept it from being a draw
good fight. first one was close.
with out rematches we would never have seen how good a fighter truely is.
Ali and both sugar reys come to mind when i think of fighters rematches that weighted heavily on there legacy

pointless.
I didnt even think the first fight was that bad, but this fight is worthless.
I refuse to buy it this time around unless the undercard kicks my ass.

It wasn't stellar, but it was competitive, and there were parts of it there were pretty exciting.
NOT of a fight of the year candidate though.
