Fight Quest is a show in Discovery Channel. Two guys travel to diffirent countries to train in Martial Arts. They just showed kyokushin karate in Japan and Filipino martial arts in Philippines. On their next show, they will be in Mexico to train in boxing. The show is on every friday.
haha yeah, I could only recognize Abner Mares out of the group, noticed anyone else there?
I think I saw Rudy Lopez in there but i am not sure... He was one of the shorter ones that kinda let his hands go when the host was running up to get hit in the body lol.
LOL they gave them both a break imo. Both those guys they put in weren't all that great.
I thought it was funny that one guy jabbing the bigger host to death before nacho finally getting someone off the street so he could feel not so bad.
Tiburcio Garcia though had no mercy on the smaller host lol he even let his son beat him up.
Also I was laughing my ass off when the nacho's team led by escobedo were hazing the big guy.

The dude they pit the smaller host on seemed like a bum rather than a champion. dude had horrible technique.

JMM in the house. that facility is legendary and the other place the smaller dude is training at is like fucking heaven. talk about serene surroundings.
Cable is still on....
dont start till 10pm here though, another 3 hours for west coast.
I am in the west coast, Los Angeles, its on now on Direct TV. They showed JM Marquez for a little bit. The bald guy will be training with Vicente.
I don't know if any of you guys have watched the show "Fight Quest", it's shown on the Discovery Channel.
Basically it's two American guys, who travel around the world fighting other fighters from that countries main martial art.
First they went to China (Wushu Kung-FU), then the Philippines (Kali), then to Japan (Koyokushin Karate). It's pretty cool because they have full contact fights in those style against that countries two best fighters.
The American guys are fighters themselves, one guy being a MMA fighter out of Team Punishment, with Tito Ortiz and the other a kickboxer , who is an ex-Marine that served in combat duty in Iraq.
The next episode will be in Mexico City and will feature Boxing. The "Masters" they chose in boxing are Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain and Tiburcio Garcia.
These guys will have to fight Mexican fighters from the gyms of Beristain and Garcia. In the clip I saw, one of the American dudes was running up and down some pyramid in Mexico in the jungle it looked like. The other one was in the ring and got knocked down with a pretty good shot.
I thought it was cool that they chose Mexico to represent Boxing and the show premiers in January 18th on the Discovery Channel. I'm sure they are showing repeats of the other episodes so you guys can catch up
Saw the commercials as well, it is el Centro Ceremonial Otomi. Erik Morales trained there and most of Mexico's top fighters train or have trained there. It really doesn't get more sacred than there imo.
Yeah, ive seen every episode. I was actually a fan of Human Weapon. Both shows are cool. I think Abner Mares makes a cameo in this episode. I cant recognize who their guide is though.
It was Vicente Escobedo, I'm pretty sure. Funny thing though, after his last fight they interviewed him on telefutura and he can't speak spanish for shit. He probably speaks enough to get by but he sounds ridiculous and probably wasn't a good choice.
