Oscar wont fight Vernon Forrest

Vernon has looked pretty good in his last 2 fights. Still seems like he has his power and his shoulder has been holding up nicely. He ALMOST looks like he's in prime form but I think thats enough for Oscar to avoid Forest. I think he is truly the only one that can seriously hurt Oscar. I think Oscar is just looking for a COMPETITIVE fight and not a fight where his health can be at risk. Or maybe it could just be the money. Whatever. Fuck allya.

Vernon Forrest hasn't even looked that good, much less a threat to beat Oscar. Let's not forget that he got a gift decision in his last fight against Ike Quartey.

People saying there is no money in a Forrest fight must be crazy. Any Oscar fight can generate millions. Wasn't De La Hoya vs Yory Boy Campos a PPV? Anything Oscar touches turns gold, even still today. As far as I'm concerned De La Hoya should have fought Forrest years ago. Ironically, it is the most compelling fight for him out there today, and it's a fight that can be made.

I'd like to see Forrest fight a real 154 lb contender like Roman Karmazin. Cory Spinks owes him a rematch as well.

this could be the most entertaining fight for Oscar but it is too dangerous imo. I dont know why Verno isnt pushing for this as much as he should. Beating Mayorga wouldnt do him nearly as good as it would beating Oscar. Maybe he can even take a stiletto as a trophy.

But there is some pride. DLH lost to Mosley twice, Forrest beat Mosley twice. I doubt DLH cares about that at this point though. Maybe at one point, 3 or 4 years ago.

If De La Hoya fights Forest, it won't be in a boxing ring. The shame is that it's probably a good matchup for both. I just want De La Hoya to go away.
