A lot of his muscle/weight is in his back and legs.
Just look at the difference in the back between Miranda and Banks in those pictures. It is night and day.

Yes, your right. And big back and legs are good for punchers, cause thats where the power comes from.
Really? If thats true i might believe that he could weigh 190 by now. I also saw the weigh in pics, Miranda ripped as usual and not overmuscled. He doesnt really look like a guy who does excessive weight training, even though he looks verry strong.

190?? Why is he putting so much weight on? I guess he hasnt trained properly, yes hes big but 190 is to much for him. He should weigh 180.
joe calzaghe apparently weighs 200lbs when he isn't training hard. so i can believe 190 lbs ..
yeah Pantera let us know about the weight stuff later tonight.
bumpin up this thread.
how much of that 190 pounds is water weight?
and 190 .. holy crap that seems like a heck of a lot of weight, especially for someone so lean bodied like Pantera.
does he have a Hatton like diet between fights, or does he eat healthy, cuz that could play a factor
or he's just naturally bigger.
He stays in good shape in between fights. He is just a big dude and getting to 200lbs+ is just natural. Like any pro athlete that comes down in weight, it is almost all water. Your body is like a sponge when it hydrates. Your muscles actually fill back up with water after being drained.
He looked good at the weight in. His face did not look drawn like it did at 160lbs and he was in a very good mood. I am hoping he can mantain 168lbs for a good 1-2 years.

I predict Pantera to be about 185 or so by fight time. If you cut your carbs 2-3 days before the weigh-in and sweat out the rest, cutting 20 pounds can be done. I have a few college wrestler friends who said cutting 10 pounds is relatively easy, its the 15-20 range that can get dangerous sometimes. There are guys in the UFC who cut upwards of 20-25 pounds like Georges St. Pierre, Rich Franklin, and Sean Sherk and it doesn't effect them in any way once they get in the ring. You just gotta make sure you totally rehydrate yourself afterwards. I've also noticed guys like Clottey and Gatti cut about the same range and they are much smaller guys then the guys I named before. Pretty amazing. It can't be good for your health but if you're only doing it 3 times a year with a nutritionist who is advising yout he correct things I don't think it's as bad as people say.
Does anybody know what Miranda weighed when he stepped in the ring against Porras?? He didnt seem to be verry heavy, i would say 175 - 180 pounds. So why is he gettin so heavy now? he will be weight drained again and that wont do him good if he fights against Pascal or the winner of Taylor/Pavlick. Only against fighters like Banks he will get away with it.

It will be public info once ESPN shows his fight weight.
Plus, to me it just shows how big he is. More reason why he should have left 160lbs long ago....:nonono:
