Wondering what you guys think. Factor in the stage of the fighter's career, the style of the fight, the circumstances surrounding the fight, and the fighter's overall performance.
Here's my short list:
Frazier D15 Ali 1971
Louis KO1 Shmelling 1939
Douglas KO10 Tyson 1990
(I also think Barrera d12 Hamed ranks highly. Hamed doesn't get alot of credit from Boxing Elitists, but I think Barrera fought the perfect fight to dominate that decision)
Great Fight
Meldrick Taylor's (almost win) over Chavez at the Hilton in Las Vegas! I lost $1,500 in the last few seconds of that fight!...damn ref.

chavez was already beaten and was on the way down, the cut ended the fight to soon but it was a big win for oscar
Co-signed.
Chavez was hardly considered 'unbeatable' by the time he fought Oscar.
De La Hoya Vs Chavez 1
he destroyd the "unbeatable" chavez

Hopkins UD Tarver- Moving up to LHW and dominating "the man" was something to behold.
Hopkins TKO12 Trinidad - A fight barely anybody gave Hopkins a chance to win, and he dominated.
Mayweather TKO6 Gatti - I'm not saying Gatti was a top P4P fighter, but he was the champ at 140, and Mayweather put on a fucking massacre for the crowd.
Jones UD12 Ruiz - Moving up to Heavyweight and making history, Roy dominated Ruiz, and it was a masterful plan.
Calzaghe UD12 Lacy - A fight barely anybody gave Calz a chance to win (much like Hopkins-Trinidad) and he just absolutely embarassed what was supposed to be "the future" of the SMW Division.
Good list... I have yet to see some Hopkins/Tarver.
a fight that was great was winky vs tito.
there skills and styles were totaly opposit.
titos fight with mayorga made this fight big, winky comeing out and schooling him for 12 rounds was amazing.
just when people thaugh tito was back, winky got another shot at makeing big money and showed why he was avoided for a long time
Toney TKO Barkley was Toney's best atleast at lighter weights. Toney schooled Barkley like a true master-boxer.
That was Toney's best performance. He just took Barkley apart.
One of my top choices is a fight that rarely gets mentioned. It was Tommy Hearns' first title win against Pipino Cuevas. He absolutely destroyed a champion who had dominated the welterweight division for over five years.
I haven't seen that fight. I'll have to track it down.
From what ive seen :
Barrera UD Hamed
Mayweather UD Corrales
Mayweather UD Gatti
Calzaghe UD Lacy
Hopkins UD Tito
Winky UD Tito
Douglas UD Tyson
Meldrick Taylor Loss to Chavez (Very controversial stoppage,up until the stoppage,it was one of the best displays of mixing up defense with offense ive seen,a huge schooling)
