Vitali never fought anyone aside from a well-beyond-prime Lewis and Chris Byrd. He lost both fights. So that KO % really doesn't mean much. Vitali's best 'W' was Kirk Johnson maybe? How can you put him against anyone in history until he's fought - and beat - some ranked opponents in his REAL career? who's put his name in with the greats? no,,,he hadnt beaten any greats. he did destroy some descent guys who were in the top 15 at the time like no other,, larry donald,,herbie hide,,corrie sanders,,kirk johnson,,danny williams. larry donald went the distance with a prime bowe and its the only time he'd ever been knocked down. vit dropped him 3 times for the tko

Vitali's chin is good but he was badly rocked by Sanders, I just wonder how Corrie would've done had he not been out of shape (gassed out in the first round). He was staggered against Lewis too. I never said Vitali was an all time great, his career was cut short by injuries. Vitali was an intimidating monster with devastating power and an iron chin, he had the potential to be an all time great. If you take off your Klitschko haters goggles you will realize that Vitali was a beast and he would give every heavyweight in history hell. Viti Klit was a good heavyweight...not great,he beat several bums and no one of note. And as I have said before....his claim to fame was....A LOSS!! Have you even seen Vitali fight? He is a monster with the highest heavyweight KO% of all time (35 wins, 34 KO's) and he has an iron chin, he has never been down. Those on the list that I have seen from Ali,Holmes,Tyson,Foreman,Holyfeild...all beat the crap out of Klitoris,or make him quit. Why is he even in the same sentence with these greats???? Who did Klit ever beat???...oh yeah,he gave a fat,out of shape Lennox Lewis a fight...which he lost. Only one he'd have had a chance of beating is Mike Tyson. In his prime, I'm not so sure. Oh, I think that he could possibly have overwhelmed Holyfield as well, simply given his size (even though Holy has fought many big men, he lost to most of them).. is it because you haven't seen enough of other fighters.. Well Tyson and Holyfield is already a start :lol1:

It would be very hard to outbox a guy who's never been behind on the scorecards.. That did not happen with the level of opposition labeled above - Granted! But Vitali had a great chin, reach and enough power in both hands to discourage just about anyone. Can anyone honestly say that even a Prime Lewis beats him 10 out of 10 times? I wouldn't bet my money on it. Marciano was just too small.. Anyhow.. this is just fantasy talk.. but one thing I can say with certainty. Win or lose, Vitali would have put ANY of these guys through a hell of a fight.
