Sanders was 225.

If Sanders had some dedication he probably would've done a lot more.
It's too late now, he's about to be 42.
those stats have to be off. I remember that fight like it was yesterday on hbo,,,and sanders was shown as 230lbs on tv. anyway,,,,he was clearly out of shape against vitali unlike his good condition against wlad. that much is obvious
he was 230 for rahman. he was out of shape for rahman and vitali and for 95% of his other fights. he was in good shape for wlad and maybe 2 or 3 other fights

The Thread Stealer is showing some remarkable restraint. His hatred of Vitali is hilarious. I thought for sure this would lead to a Vitali ducking Rahman post, but it didn't.

he actually seems to have some good sense when he's not in his obsessive mode
They grow naturally, but they don't suddenly put on 10 pounds of flab if they're in shape.
Sanders was 225 for Rahman and 225 for Wlad, but 235 for Vitali a year later, and breathing heavy pretty quick.

Am I dissapointing you, or is it a nice change of pace?
he was 230 for rahman at a time when 220 was his good fighting weight. fighters naturally gain some weight as they age. he was in about the same condition against rahman as he was vitali,,,although he was obviously younger and more active then

Sanders was in better shape and lighter against Rahman.
He was more active in fighting, younger, lighter back in 2000 when he lost to Rahman.
Naturally, a semi-retired, heavy, inactive for a year semi-pro golfer is the best win in the career of Quitali.

as far as sanders vs vitali goes,,,that was the usual sanders that came in soft and overweight as he did with rahman. he clearly didnt have the same reflexes he had at the lighter weight. had he came into the fight like he did with wlad just maybe he'd have finished vitali in that first round? who knows for sure. he didnt give himself much of a chance coming in at his usual 230+ lbs

oh seriously go away with your stupid bias,, i don't know how anybody can take the dribble that you say seriously, wlad this wlad that..
get over him ,
the amount of bias you have is so irritating ,your posts sound so pathetic.
DOES ANY POSTER ON THIS SITE TAKE THIS guy seriously?
I think he should change his name to Wlad Moans.
That was the old Wlad.....
The new improved Wlad would've KO'd Sanders that night.

I think Wladimir has the unique pleasure among boxers of not being able to be exposed. I don't mean to say he's a super man or anything like that- but we already learned his weaknesses. Usually when a boxer's fatal flaws come out, at least when they're as detrimental as Klitschko's - it's end game. Wlad was able to get his weaknesses exposed to the world and bounce back, though.
If he losses we all know why- he won't be exposed because we've come to keep an eye on his past flaws- there will be no new discovery; therefore no being 'exposed'. It'd just be a loss.
Very smart post

As a couch critic I find this offensive.
kayjay, alway got respect for ya bro.
As long as you acknowledge Sanders as a threat it's fine to me. It's a bit offensive to me as a fan of Wladimir's that a man who beat him like that is not even considered a threat.
Sure the Brewster and Purrity fights could be written off but not Sanders, I have a great deal of respect for his skills as do most of the fighters who have fought him.
yeah, he's a bit of a threat. but, i'd put my money on wlad in a rematch, no matter when it would've happened.
and i had written that sanders was a legit loss. i also had written why the loss had happened. i don't care if you think it up as some excuse, but the reasons have been writen about and are well known. it doesn't mean that there is foul play play or some bullshit. every fighter that loses, loses for a reason. this one, for the sanders fight, had much to do with wladimir and a quite a bit to do with sanders as well.
