Polls like this expose the lack of knowledge on these boards. And also shows how long ago everyone started watching boxing.
This isn't a hard question.

i voted for mayweather, but i do believe alot of his opponents were past their primes.
yeah i agree i cant make up my mind Floyds looks better on paper but a lot of the big names he fought were past thier best
McCallum = 39 years old champ at 154 and 160. fight at 175
Hill = just went through 12 rounds with DM
Paz = champ at 135 and 40. fight at 168
If anyone fought 'em past it, that's Roy
if anyone fought more guys past their prime when comparing the two ,its roy.. floyd has by far the better resume..
They both had the ability to make their opponents look worthless but RJJ is still fighting and PBF retired...thats the biggest difference to me.
roy has 5 losses and has been koed.. floyd hasnt.. thats the biggest difference to me
roy has defeated 16 former and current world champions in his career. and had over 22 title defenses
Jorge Castro (WBA middleweight champion)
Jorge Vaca (WBC welterweight champion)
Bernanrd Hopkins (IBF Middleweight Champion)
Thulani Malinga (WBC Super Middleweight Champion)
James Toney (IBF Super Middleweight Champion)
Vinnie Pazienza (WBA Light Middleweight Champion)
Eric Lucas (WBC Super Middleweight Champion)
Mike Mccallum (WBC Lightheavyweight Champion)
Virgil Hill (WBA Lightheavyweight Champion)
Lou De Valle (WBA Lightheavyweight Champion)
Otis Grant (WBO Middleweight Champion)
Reggie Johnson (IBF Lightheavyweight Champion)
Julio Gonzalez (WBO Lightheavyweight Champion)
Clinton Woods (IBF Lightheavy weight Champion)
John Ruiz (WBA Heavyweight Champion)
Antonio Tarver (WBC Lightheavyweight Champion)
Floyd defeated 13 former champions, with 12 title defenses. Also besting 4 potential Hofer's.
Genaro Hernandez (WBC Super Featherweight Champion)
Gregario Vargas (WBC Featherweight Champion)
Diego Corrales (IBF Super Featherweight Champion)
Carlos Hernandez (IBF Super Featherweight Champion)
Jesus Chavez (WBC Super Featherweight Champion)

potential HOF that means what Barry McGuigan ,Gerald McClellan are HOF not exactly great though are they
all im saying is his inhability to make fights with Benn ,Eubank,Collins cost him an even greater legacy
at the end of the day the where better fights out there than Frazier & Hall it didnt have to be Collins ,Benn etc ,he wouldnt even fight Nunn who had lost how many fights by that time
im not saying he is a coward im just saying he took his foot of the gas & went into cruise control ,he was making shit loads of cash so & was recognised as the best fighter in the world why not fight the likes of Hall etc
it definetly hurt his legacy though IMO
not roys fault that those guys didnt wana fight him.
i dont buy it these fights would have happened if Roy really wanted them to ,Roy was happy to be recogniseed as p4p & still make a shit load of money & fight his mandatorys
that is why he is great but not as great as he could have been ,Floyd will retire with the same credentials IMO
I am a Roy fan but how someone can say his career never left a bit to be desired is quite a strange comment to make
Benn ,Eubank ,Collins,Darius ,etc he clearly could have enhanced his legacy quite considerably with Victories of these oponents
he found time to beat Hall & Frazier ,WAKEY WAKEY Mate
not roys fault that those guys didnt wana fight him.
