if this fight is made, im betting on Clottey by decision. i have not seen combination punching like his in a while and Cintron crumbles under pressure. Feliciano showed that if you could hang in there with Cintron and actually fight him back, you will have success. as long as Clottey does not fade late, he should be fine.
he did not throw it all fight long. he slapped it a couple of times and then shook it. go back and watch the fight again. he threw almost exclusively left hooks, a punch you rarely see cintron throw. he really only threw the right when he smelled a KO.
i watched the fight last night and seen him throw it for the whole fight. IMO that was just an excuse for looking so terrible.
I already posted about the suposse "ligament injury", which is bullshit!
just cuz you posted that it was bs, doesnt make it so. i sincerely doubt one of the most respected orthopedic hand surgeons in my area, and in the country, would make something up. why would he care?
ok deal. but his hands seemed fine until he started to roll around on the floor celebrating the victory, there were no signs of it being sore during the fight because he was throwing his right hand all fight long.

you got it man. and as far as the hand... everyone know's it wasnt broken. it was severe ligament damage, but how, in the middle of a fight, would anyone know that their hand is broken or not? all you would know is that it hurts horribly, it's been broken before, and you've had 5 surgeries on it before. of course you assume it's broken. It would have been kind of odd for him to say to manny "manny, bro, i think i severely damaged my ligament."

OH and if this fight happens (which i think it will) im up for a points bet. i got Clottey by UD.

15 punches landed, 14 of them power shots, uncontested. how is that a quick stoppage. Do i think feliciano was going down? probably not, but that is not why a fight gets stopped. a fight gets stopped when a fighter does no protect himself and will get hurt, and feliciano would have been hurt.
and he did not crumble. the only reason feliciano was able to apply that pressure is because cintron couldnt keep him outside because of a busted hand. had the hand been in use, fight would have been over by the 4th round. he almost had him done in round 1. cintron was instructed to let feliciano come inside and throw all he wants. listen to the between rounds instructions from manny steward. the announcers even say "wow, that is interesting instructions from cintrons corner. i dont agree with that at all." cintron was doing what he was told by his trainer in order to win a fight with a busted hand. HE STILL KO'D the guy. I have never before seen a guy get so much shit for a KO win.
i have been over this too many times about Cintrons hand. it was not broke at all. and if thats the case, it should break in the Clottey fight as well because Clottey has a great chin and will fight him back. the point is, Feliciano was a blown up fighter who was not even ranked, and Cintron fought life and death with the man. do you think Mayweather, Cotto, or Williams would fight life and death with Feliciano? please, Cintron is soft. many fighters dont even flinch when thier hand is actually broke.
he crumbled over the pressure of a blown up Feliciano. and the stoppage was kinda quick IMO.

always does? he's got 1 loss on his record! and that had more to do with outside circumstances than the fight itself.

LOL! Clottey was beating Margarito and Boldimer until those flukes happened. and what you are saying does not mean that Cintron wont crumble under pressure like he always does.

Someone gave me shit for this post....
In its March 2003 issue, Ring magazine listed Kermit Cintron as one of the “Breakthrough Stars of 2003”.
In that same month respected boxing insider and former Ring magazine editor Steve Farhood praised Cintron to Reading Eagle journalist Don Stewart: "He’s certainly considered as exciting a prospect as there is in the game today, and that includes the more heavily hyped Olympians. There are not that many pure punchers in the game today. Also, his body is so huge for a welterweight. In a sense, he really reminds me of a Thomas Hearns, except he has a bigger upper body. Combine that physique with his power, and you have a fighter everyone wants to watch.”
lol..thats funny for the simple fact that Cintron landed his bombs on Margarito early and Margarito didn't even blink.
Ring Magazine Puts Wilson on 'Boxing's 10 Biggest Punchers' List!
The top five on the list were (from top to bottom) Wladimir Klitschko, Daniel Ponce De Leon, Manny Pacquiao, Kelly Pavlik and Edwin Valero. Kermit Cintron came in at number six, followed by flyweight Vic Darchiniyan, Wilson, newly-crowned world cruiserweight champ David Haye and Israel Vasquez.
And also KO Magazine (R.I.P.) had articles of kermit Cintron as a big time WW Prospect due to his power punch. Clottey-Cintron is not going to be a walkthrough for neighter of them, it's going to be WAR!

And who did Joshua Clottey beated so far???
Further more, who has Clottey fighted with the power punch that kermit Cintron brings to the table. His right power punch has been compared to Tito trinidad and Tommy Hearns by REAL BOXING EXPERTS. Clottey could not KO Alvarez Yesterday.

Cintron is being extremely overrated. He has good power but come Walter is a much different opponent than Clottey. He's an open target and is a small, vwery small opponent compared to Cintron. Clottey is a true big welter. He doen't need to knock out Cintron to win. Everyone is so enamored with the KO. Cintron won't hit Clottey cleanly enough to hurt him.
Plus he likes to fight on the inside which stunts long range power shots that Cintron needs to get off. Clottey is a top ten welter. You just don't KO guys like that. If you have watched any of his fights you'll notice he has agood beard along with an enormous steel head. You aint crackin that period.
Clottey has good defense .. he won't get cracked like Walter did
ya'll are looking at the power aspect way too much .. sure Kermit has more 1 punch kayo power ... but so what, Clottey puts his hands up ... he's not going to be a sitting duck for Cintron's power shots
Clottey has to fight strong down the stretch, he definitely cannot coast the last 2 rounds like he did vs Flores and Alverez
Part of the gameplan, part of the gameplan. Will see...
