Pavlik-Taylor
Cotto-Mosley
Calzaghe-Kessler
Mayweather-Dlh
Mayweather-Hatton
IMO, u gotta go with Pavlik-Taylor. And when you have a fight thats the best out of allll 5 of those, and probably STILL wont get the FOTY award, ur talking about an amazing year for Boxing.
Id actually rank Pavlik-Taylor behind Marquez-Vazquez 2 and Bika-Codrington.
Pavlik Vs Taylor was the most exciting...but you wouldnt say it was of the highest level. Hatton Vs Mayweather...was good in that you had one fighter trying to make it a close in fight...and the other showing his skills and mainly keeping things at range, but also showing his skills on the inside.
But overall...for the high levels of both fighters...id go for JC V MK. As the HBO team said during commentry it was boxing of the highest level..and not just by one fighter boxing another fighters head off..they were both boxing to a very high level for the first 6/7 rounds, before Cal pulled away abit..but even then...MK didnt exactly ive up...and kept comming looking for a knockout. Add to this the atmosphere in that arena/stadium...
Gotto mention Cotto/Mosley sumwhere in that too..i thought Mosleys experience would tell...and though it was an entertaining fight..just like KP V JT ...you wouldnt say it was the of the very highest standard ni that division.
... thats not even an option...
im talkin about the HOLDIAY BUNCH that they put together
Shit you said Vasquez/Marquez 2... "HBO" HOLIDAY BUNCH... that was on showtime. get it straight. Taylor/Pavlik or Cal/Kessler
The best, or most entertaining fight was probably Pavlik v Taylor, it was just awesome.
Floyd v Hatton was great too, I thought, but its all about who your rooting for and the situation your in.
Note: (I wanted Taylor to win the Pavlik fight, but damn when that fight was over I didnt even care)
Taylor vs. Pavlik not only because it was a high contact fight, it was freeeeeee!
its really hard to choose though. All these fights bring back such good memories. so much drama when I was watching them
wow, good question, it's close.. i would pick cotto-mosley just because cotto's my favorite fighter and i anticipated that fight and enjoyed it the most
