If I was a movie producor, I would take the story of Emmanuel, he's amazing. This guy fought more than 20 undefeated fighter. He always take young good prospect with only 2 weeks to prepare. I was at his fight against Ngoudjo, with only 1 one week of preparation, he kod Ngoudjo but Hermman got saved by the bell. I also think he got paid to lose a lot of fight, like this one. In his fight against Floyd, I think he showed the way to beat Floyd ( I know people will say I'm crazy ), I think the way to beat Floyd is to use feints. When you use feints Floyd's automatism and reflexes are fucked. One of the best Hatton's shot was when he feints a right hook and give a jab after.
Anyway, I only wanted to make this thread to defend Augustus, he has incredible skills and to people who say he lost to a lot of guy, you need to consider that he always got robbed with local decision.
BTW, I also agree with you about the Floyd remark. He's one of the very few people, possibly the ONLY person, I've ever seen make Floyd bleed.
And oh, I had Augustus beating Mickey Ward. Great fight regardless
Yeah, Floyd is clearly a better fighter than Emmanuel. But when FLoyd was in his corner, you can see in his eyes and face that he was like : Damn, that fight is seriously more fucking tough than I was expecting.
Emmanuel is probably the only guy to make Pretty Boy an Ugly Boy after the fight. The only other one I can remember is Oscar de le Hoya. After PBf fight with Oscar, he had a black eye.
Supposedly they are making a documentary about him, called "The Journeyman." Not sure when it will be released
thanks for the info, the guy's life is really a movie story.

Here is the fight against Ngoudjo, the 12th round is the only one when Augustus fought seriously , and he kod Ngoudjo. He clowned during all the other rounds, imagine if he has fought in a serious way.
