Mayweather will fight Cotto win by Ko then retire

Now the cry is Mayweather needs to fight a legit top welter, like Cotto, Margarito or Cintron with Cotto being number one of course. Cotto is a great fight make no mistake about it but as I watch Cotto I see too many flaws that can and will be exposed by Mayweather quite easily. That is exactly why Mayweather is baiting the public and letting us think he's done so when the time is right he'll go for Cotto much like he did with Hatton. After he beats Cotto in stunning fashion again the Mayweather "haters" will have something to say. I've found that the most venom spewing haters are the ones who picked against Mayweather at some point in time. They are aching for Mayweather to lose. So no matter who he beats they'll always have someone else he should fight. So to them I ask, when does it end?

when he beats cotto, guarantee they'll say "oh well he was a junior welter so its not a real welterweight..." after cotto, IF floyd fights paul williams (possibility) and beats him, it goes "who the hell said williams was that great anyway, he shoulda fought (insert name) to really prove himself..." when does it end you ask? when floyd is dead! until then, its a long bumpy ride!! It would be a big step up for Williams, Cotto not so much after fighting Zab and Mosley but I do feel that a lot of people are jumping on his bandwagon too fast.

The problem is, nobody thought Mayweather was going for Hatton. Go look back on the forums Hatton wasn't even in the picture until Mayweather called him out. Mayweathers next fight was suppose to be against Cotto Mosley or Williams. Instead, Mayweather hears Hatton say he is a boring fighter and Mayweather is like "OH NOES, LITTLE 140lb RICKY HATTON BE TALKIN BAD BOUT ME!" "I BEST FIGHT HIM!" You act like PBFM & Hatton were not in the same division just 2yrs ago. After Floyd destroyed Gatti & Hatton stopped Tzsyu. It was the biggest fight at 140 in 2005

to be considered the greatest boxer, mayweather needs to fight some more guys, cotto, williams, cintron, marg, mabe a couple others. don't get me wrong, his last fight was a HUGE improvement, a hell of a lot more action, and he finally went toe-to-toe, he gained alot of respect. but in no way could he retire and claim he's the best fighter ever, it's just not gonna happen. i say unify, and destroy everyone in the welterweight division, then he will be one of the top 10 of all time Did you see the Manfredy, Judah, Gatti, & the 2 Castillo fights? There was some great toe-to-toe action in those fights! But the Hatton fight was an instant classic.
