Trinidad vs Lacy

After watching Tito's performance against Roy Jones I'm going with Tito. I think he could even get a late stoppage over him. Lacy looked terrible against Peter Manfredo. I was also surprised to see Trinidads speed. He's never been fast but he looks to have lost very little if any of his hand speed. I really expected him to look slow especially at that weight, but he didn't. I was also expecting to see allot of ring rust because of the nearly 3 year layoff. He didn't look to be rusty in my opinion.

Pre-Calzaghe Lacy wins easy. I don't know now beause he tore his rotator.

Some said that they would not state an opinion until they saw Trinidad against Jones. What do you think about this match now?

Lact would probably beat Tito....I mean Titos best days were at 147-154 range....He's not gonna fare well against Jones and I can't see him fairing to well at any weight above 160.

Tito is a big name fighter...Bottomline, RJJ is still a big name...Lacy really does nothing for him.. I disagree. I think a win over Lacy, at least in the eyes of real and not casual fans, is much more significant than a win over Mayorga. A win over a guy like Lacy after more than 2 years off is a very solid win and a good test to see how much Trinidad has left. In other words, it's a solid, credible opponent in a winnable fight. Then, Trinidad could take on the big names.

Lacy needs just a little more seasoning and some more name recognition. He's the next generation. Jones and Trinidad are the last of their generation. I don't know if the two will ever meet.

Trinidad won't beat Jones, there's no way in hell Jones is gonna lose to Tito. But, yeah .. Trinidad vs. Lacy, maybe Tito should have used that fight as a tune up. He'd beat Lacy easily anyway He'll get caught with a Left Hook....then retire..

Trinidad is fightint Jones at 170, so a fight with Lacy after the Jones fight is not off the mark. Still, I think Trinidad should have chosen this type of opponent before a Jones, who although semi-shot, is still talented and is a bigger fighter. Lacy is a Pine Tree...Tito would open a cut the size of Lacy's mouth, forcing the ref to stop the fight...Lacy suck...

LACY!!!!! of course, Tito is too small for Lacy, yall don't realize how big Lacy would be compared to Tito. Tito was blown up at middleweight, but at supermiddleweight he would be a butter ball and Lacy would eat him alive. if Tito is not going to fight at his proper weight, he should not fight at all because he would get seriously hurt up there. just like in this jones fight, unless he lands something lucky on Roy's weak chin, he will get a boxing lesson. i don't even think Tito will have the same power that he had at the smaller weights. Lacy has fought bigger punchers than a blown up trinidad so i doubt Tito would even have a puncher's chance. i like Tito, but he should leave the bigger divisions alone. my final prediction Lacy TKO 10.

^exactly, who knows what felix has left. I would guess not very much, but he will always have his power and i'd imagine his speed will remain. A drubbing against winky will have done him no favors at all (a lot of small impacts is apparently worse for a fighter than one huge knock out punch), but a drubbing against joe c. did lacy no favors either so who knows? i'd imagine titos power scares lacy early and wins him a UD, but theres a lot of variables here so i wouldnt put money on it until tito looks good against jones

With Trinidad's return, this fight is a possibility although a distant one. Lacy is coming off a lackluster win over Manfredo and looks very rusty. Trinidad has not been in the rig since May 2005. If Trinidad gets past Jones or even if he loses, what do you think would happen if Trinidad and Lacy went toe to toe? I'll give you my opinion after the Jones fight.

wow.. this is actually a VERY good match for Tito. I think Tito wins this one by KO, Lacy ain't got it to hang with Tito but imagine seeing Lacy get KO'ed, that would be not good because who wants to see another man fall? it wont be good but I would pick tito to floor him, Lacy doesn't possess the skills to avoid a war and a war with Trinidad is like a boxing match with Floyd, meaning YOU AIN'T WINNING, you'd have have to bring the kind of skills I just don't see Lacy having, Tito by a late but brutal KO, maybe a body shot.. I love Jeff(no homo) but Trinidad wins this. 100
