what would that mean? if he were to outbox, punish, breakdown De La Hoya and knock him out before the 10th round, would the Cotto detractors change their opinion of Cotto for achieving something Floyd was not able to do? Would that warrant a fight with Floyd Mayweather?
your just lucky Oscar gassed out in that fight as usual otherwise your boy would have had a nice little blemish on his otherwise perfect record and we would of had to endure a boring ass rematch.
Yeah ok...
It wouldn't mean nothing. Floyd is better than Oscar(who's past his prime). Oscar was in that fight because he's good for his age, had a good gameplan, and worked his jab well. Floyd didn't really let his hands go. Cotto won't dominate Oscar either. Oscar can beat Cotto(not saying he will).
AGREE X1000.

How many times do people have to be reminded that the triangle theory doesn't mean shit most of the time
it can provide some good insight but many times too many/wrong conclusions are drawn from them
Oh no, Floyd did dominate Oscar. I actually think that Floyd had too much respect for Oscar to knock him out, it looked just too easy. That's the only explanation I can come up with.
You gotta be kidding me?
I'm not sure if this sarcasm or not but if it is then it's pretty good.

I don't think Cotto would beat down on DLH like that. Even if he did, it doesn't really work like that.(PBF-DLH SD, Cotto-DLH KO, therefore Cotto better than PBF.) Their styles are different, if Cotto knocks out DLH with a hook, doesn't mean PBF would fall for that hook.
I would like to see Cotto/DLH. It would definitely be an exciting fight. I don't see Cotto winning this one tho, DLH has more power, has the quicker hands, and is naturally the bigger man.

I think a fight with De La Hoya would be BIGGER than a fight Floyd EVEN without a 24/7. Golden Boy already has the marketing machine well oiled to market anything. They could market a fight between a chair and a rock and that shit would sell like 1 mill PPV buys with people wearing shirts with pictures of their chairs or rocks. If Floyd/Cotto happened, I would expect it to do atleast 1.7 Mill PPV buys. That completelt raise Cotto's stock (if he won convincingly and in dramatic fashion).

Wouldn't happen. He'd get bulldozed with that wack defense.
But Cotto already deserves to fight Floyd.

Fight with mayweather is already warranted...but this would make Cotto's biggest win bigger than ATG #1 moniz enda benk Maywerthers biggest win.
i think cotto deserves a fight with floyd now, but yea another big fight will draw more fans and more money for floyd.
and i think cotto can and will break oscar down. dont know about a KO though...
