All the excitement Saturday came from Floyd, who scored a thunderous KO and bounced Ricky around the ring like a fuckin pinball. I was at a party where EVERYONE was cheering for Hatton after seeing 24/7, thinking he was exciting and shit. I showed one kid the Hatton-Tszyu fight a few days before and he was BAFFLED at Hatton's inability to actually fight. I kid you not, he was laughing before the first round ended and asking me if that was illegal, which I told him it wasn't. Midway through the fight, everyone was complaining about Hatton for hugging nonstop and holding and hitting. The KO drew the biggest shouts of the night and everyone felt they got their money's worth because of it. The kid who threw the party left after the 7th round to go upstairs and completely missed the KO because he was fucking BORED with Ricky Hatton. So tell me he's exciting now, Brits. That's fuckin bullshit. Mayweather KO'd that fuckin bitch
I perfer Mayweather's style a lot more then Hatton's. I love Mayweather's clean sharp punching, brilliant defense, and his ability to move around the ring. I've never been bored watching Mayweather fight, except for Baldomir.
Hatton I like too. I hated his style at first, but it really grew on me.
Both fighters were extremely boring until the 8th round.
I don't know why people are acting like Floyd was exciting. He was clinching as much as Hatton and ducking below the belt most of the fight. He also landed only 12 punches a round, and Hatton 6.
Why attempt to shit on Hatton? Have you ever had the balls to step into a ring and fight someone? Better yet, have you ever had the balls to step into the ring and fight someone whom everybody knew was your superior in terms of speed, defense, counterpunching and overall skill level?
Mayweather is the man, he proved it to me with the performance against Hatton. Prior to that I was somewhat of a critic (not a hater) but now I'm a fan. Hatton's appeal isn't any less because he got KO'd by a guy who was clearly superior to him. I'll still be watching Ricky's fights until he retires because he's a fighter I want to see fight.
Shitting on him is pretty pointless considering the fact that he'd probably maul you within 30 seconds.
Hatton's exciting and Mayweather is also exciting. They have both been in some dull fights in the last few years but they have also been involved in exciting fights and were in an exciting fight on Saturday.

of course. he had a much naturally smaller man in front of him. the moment he gets in with a guy of his own natural size its back to slap and run :duh:
It's unbelievable how much joy people take in other people's failures or disappointments.
One thing I saw in the fight is how tantalizing Floyd could be if he wanted to. When he opened up, he was great and exciting, but he just doesn't like to take risks, no matter ho much of an advantage he has. Call it RJJ syndrome.
If he fought like he did in the later rounds regularly, we're talking Sugar Ray Leonard here. I just wish he would fight Cotto and do the same. That's THE fight right now, I think we can all agree.
That was a pretty witty post I must admit.
Not saying that Hatton is a better fighter, I'll admit Mayweather is a better boxer than Hatton.
But in my opinion Hatton is more exciting to watch. I can have an opinion can't I?
Well, you've said a lot about yourself today. So who's doing well in MMA now? I take it you follow that sport a bit more closely. Better yet, who's winning in WWF right now? That must be your sport if you're a Hatton fan.
DING DONG THE HUGGER IS DEAD
that has got to be one of the best posts I've ever read on my time on this forum (like 5 months, but still lol)
