Am I the only one who can see this and are you all completely blind.
An american referee who was clearly bought and protected Floyd all night long.
3 american judges all from Nevada who quite honestly must have been blind.
Ricky Hatton won the first 5 rounds, the sixth was even because of the point deduction. The seventh was close and could have gone either way. Floyd maybe won the eighth and ninth and Hatton was clearly winning the tenth before Floyd got lucky. It was a lucky punch and Hatton only struggled to get to his feet because after taking the punch without any problems he ran into the corner post.
And another thing did anyone notice the bandages on both of the fighters hands. Floyd must have had something underneath them bandages, did you see how big they were they looked like gloves. I don't know how he got the gloves on afterwards but he had something in there because no way does he have the power to stop Hatton or cut him up like that.
This fight was dodgy from the start and if Floyd was so good he would have stepped down to 140lb and fought in britain with neutral ref and judges. Had this happened it would have been Floyd all busted up and going home without his titles.
The whole thing stinks and Ricky has been robbed big time.
I'm glad you realised I was just on a windup mickey. I expect you saw my other thread congratulating Floyd. The best man won fair and square.
But you write a sensible thread and no-one comments on it, so I wrote a wind-up and points scorer. Basically all them Floyd fans love gloating so I thought I'd write some shit and let them enjoy there moment. Bless their cotton socks.
sound like a cry for attention! bless your polyester underware.
It was a lucky punch that Hatton took well, but he ran into the corner post which knocked him down and he couldn't recover. Any fool could see that
he took it well :wtf: lmfao watch it in slow-mo! he took that shot horribly!!!! it sent him flying into the corner post face down lmao. If that post wasnt there ricky fatton goes flying into the first two rows! Thank the pole that it was there to save ricky out of more humilation! :loser:

Oh no, this just cant be serious, it must be a wind up :ugh:

Looked to me that Hatton fell into the corner post because he DIDN'T take the punch well. At all. It knocked him out.
Close thread.
I cant be bothered getting into arguments here but I will say that the initial poster who is getting some stick here has some good points,as I sed in the 'feel sorry for Hatton' thread my m8 sed b4 the fight that the MONEY was on Mayweathers side so hes bet on Mayweather for that reason,I sed wtf u talking about....BUt watching Cortez breaking up everything then what my m8 sed came to mind, was Mayweathers money and notoriety involved??Richard Steele was ref then it would have been a different outcome imo.

That validates what is a given > CONTROVERSY ALWAYS OUT WEIGHS
Mike Tyson's impact on boxing Dwarfs the sucess of Lennox Lewis by any stature.....not saying that it should/shouldn't........ but CONTROVERSY RULES.
No judge or ref could make Hatton get knocked out.
Stop detracting from PBF's victory and leave Hatton alone with some fucking dignity. Please.
Ricky lost?! Ok. But did well.
You're embaressing the Limeys on here.
Not Hurricane by the way - funny thread.
But for those who are supporting you. You make yourselves look foolish.

Don't give me this is america bullshit. Floyd was the one holding from the start and hitting at the same time. Hatton does it it's not boxing and illegal but when Floyd does it it's genius. He warned Floyd so many times but that was all he did, so not to seem biased but he did fuck all about it. Floyd should have been deducted at least 3 points. But you nuthuggers are never gonna see that. If Hatton had run into the corner post he would have won easily.
No.......Mayweather Punched his ass into it ...The Post actually saved him from flying out of the Fucking ring.
And winner...... by way of................you Know the rest
Hatton didn't grab hardly at all. It was Floyd doing all the grabbing. Even the HBO commentators said it.
The HBO commentators also said that Hatton was making Floyd miss, then the replay came on and they said that wasn't the exchange. lol
Ricky landed 63 punches. No way in hell are you gonna ewin a fight on the card like that. Especially when the other guy is fairly busy and landed at a high connect percentage. He didn't even win the first round he got tagged. Floyd stumbled and the crowd went crazy. Some cannot accept defeat I see.
And all of this is irrelevant becuase Hatton got knocked out.
It's not something made up...Emanuel Steward called it a "check hook" as well right after Hatton hit the canvas. He tried to call it out as Lampley emotionally narrated what was it happening, but Steward mentioned it. It's not something that Floyd made up.
I'm trying to recall fights where it's happened, but right now I can't. I think Joe Walcott did that in one fight...but I'm not sure. It was in a fight where he was coming in on an opponent and he, according to Bert Sugar, sand-danced into him, bobbed to his right and threw a left hook as his opponent was about to do the same thing. The reason why it's effective is because the other guy is really off balance that split second when he's striking.
Nonito donaire against Vic Darchinyan did the same punch
i can't wait till hatton loses to paulie or witter so i won't have to hear about his overrated ass anymore.espn scored the fight like the judges did so whoever thinks hatton was winning that fight is crazy
Think now why would Floyd have to hold when he could hit him without holding, your boy Hatton couldn't be effective without his clutch and grab tactics.
couldn't say it better myself, people who obviously bet on Hatton are looking for any excuse, Cortez did what he was supposed to do and that is to break fighters that were clinching. People this was a BOXING match not a wrestling clinic. Clinching and holding is penalizable offence in boxing for a reason. Hatton's hometown referees allow him to do this but this is US. Ask yourselves honestly Hatton fans could Hatton beat Floyd in the middle of the ring No!!!! Get Real to the threadstarter this has got to be a shock thread especially if he thought Hatton was clearly winning the fight. Also when you re-watch the fight listen to how many times the ref warned Floyd as well during the fight and in between rounds as well.

It is still a hook whatever you attach to it. So he stepped to the side first big deal it is still a hook. Sugar Ray Robinson knocked out Gene Fullmer with the same punch and it is called the perfect punch and the best left hook ever thrown. It is a left hook no matter what you say or anyone else.
