All that I know is that there's no telling what Floyd's plans are other than to build his company since he hasn't commented. I honestly don't believe that he's concerned with Cotto to that extent or gives priority to him over any of the other WWs. That's just a few of the fans thinking that. BUT i truly believe he is actualy doing it to pave the way for Miguel Cotto to beat the following 4: Margarito, Clottey, Cintron and Williams. I think more then just a few fans think Floyd is a bit concerned with Cotto-we will never know for sure but I think he is not to eager to fight MC-hopefully Im wrong! If Floyd retires and years later people talk about his greatness and mention him being the welterweight champ one could and probably should bring up his welterweight resume. He is the current Welterweight champ of the world without a real significant Welterweight victory. (not dogging him at all just laying it out) There is a current consensus in the sport that cotto is clearly the number 1 fighter at WW behind Jr...with that said you mentioned that floyd does not need Cotto and your right in context but if we are to talk about Floyd like he thinks he should be talked about (as possibly the greatest fighter of all time) then he cannot afford not to take care of Cotto, if he beats Cotto this boxing fan will have no further questions.

There are no tougher opponents p4p at WW then Mayweather has already faced at 130/135 and against DLH. if you are the best you have to fight the best He's already done that. You can't keep doing it forever and ever and if he choses to stop, so be it. One thing he is, is the best right now and of this era, which is enough. I think he respects the fact that Cotto is a serious match and he really has to get up for the kid and that being the case if he is going to fight him why should't it be for hige money. So by letting Cotto shine for the next 10-15 months he can make more money in the end if he still feels like fighting. But honestly why should he? How did you come up with the bold? I have never seen Williams be dirty or a brawler. He throws a lot of punches if Williams was a dirty brawler the fight with Margarito would have been totally different. Please point out to me the things that made you come with Williams being a dirty brawler. forgot to edit that i meant sadler was a dirty brawler and Willaims is a brawler. Williams ends up fighting on the inside and getting drawn in and not using his reach but hasn't caused him problems so far same as sadler. Personally I want to see Cotto-Willaims. Williams can throw 1000 punches in a fight and Cotto is ver economical and makes every punch count. Cotto would proberbly beat Williams because there is so much body to hit but i think Cotto loses to Mayweather whereas Williams would Mayweather lose bad because this fight reminds me of Sadler-Pep in styles and stature. Sadler was a dirty brawler as is Williams and Pep is a defensive genius as is Mayweather. Mix to two and you get Sadler-Pep with Sadler coming out on top 3 times out of 4. I concur. This is the same thing with Margo. They told Marg to get some more wins under your belt and the bout will be made. Cotto WILL get those few wins and the exposure. When that happens, one of the biggest mega fights in WW history will commence.
