Everyone seems to forget Hatton is a light Welter who could not even make the 147lb limit for the fight...
When you are looking at guys that are at the top of the game, even small differences can mean the difference between winning and losing..
Hatton has shown that carrying the extra weight affects his speed and stamina....from being a bully a lightwelter..he is just average at welter..
And he fought probably the best P4P fighter at a weight that was not ideal...
He really was onto a loser from the start..
PBF v Hatton at Light Welter would be a better contest...Thats not in doubt...
I don't think there is much point of a repeat at 147....but at 140..i recon the fight would be just as big..Floyd would never do it mind..and i don't blame him.
He doesn't have to and it would be a much more difficult fight.
Don't forget Mayweather is a jr. lightweight...
Well, good shit Sin.
Hatton by K.O. .... You dudes need to stick a quarter in your ass, because you played yourselves.
I thought Hatton had a chance to win a rough and tumble fight.
But a K.O.?
Were you fucking HIGH? DAMN...
Ether. Pure and simple.

True greats win titles in multiple weight divisions.. leonard,jones,etc..
The difference is that Floyed has lost nothing as he moved up the weights but Ricky has done.
i dont think im making excuses because i think Ricky loses to Floyed at any weight but i do think it was foolish to try and topple the pound for pound king in a weight that you know doesnt suit you.....
go back to 140 Ricky and stay there you are just simply never goeing to be a welter weight
Are you dumb.......at 147 he would be too heavy..not that he could actually weigh that in the ring..
2 poor performances at 147 show Hatton is not able to move up ..and loses alot compared to being at 140..
Floyd looked bigger than Hatton and carries the weight better..He's a bigger guy.fact.
You recon Hatton could fight at 154..No way..
Also..hasn't fought below 140 for years....
You dont have a point. Where did Hatton fight most of his career?(hint 140) Where did Floyd fight most of his career? (hint 130 and 135) So you're grasping at straws talking about Hatton was not at his natural weight. If thats the case Floyd didnt fight at his natural weight.
Stop making excuses.:bottle:
You are right C-Drone, I was wrong.
The breakdown:
Floyd
130 - 14
135 - 16
140 - 3
147 - 4
154 - 1
That only comes out to 38 so I missed a fight in there, but you were right that I was wrong. The biggest portion of his career did not come at super feather, it came at lightweight. Of course this is still five pounds below Hatton. In fact, Mayweather has fought 75 percent of his career below Hatton in weight and this point is still as about as good reason as you'd expect from a Down's syndrome kid, but whatever helps you sleep at night right?
Well, I guess you're wrong. But I meant the other people. Who would try to make, slight excuses for Hatton. I didn't mean you, lol. I just meant.. they'd make excuses because it sucks being wrong. I can understand that. Either way though, NATURALLY Mayweather has just gotten used to 147 more, he's still the naturally lighter fighter.
LMAO @ "couldn't get up to 147" when he had to lose weight to get there, unlike Floyd.
As if Floyd is a big or "true" welter weight his damn self.

at 140 in 2005, floyd would have killed hatton, period. no comments needed after this. hatton would have been mangled in 2005. he was at the gatti fight, he saw floyd destroy gatti, and he said he wasn't ready for him yet. he waited to floyd slowed down some at 147 to finally call him out. he had his chance at 140 after he beat kosta and before he beat kosta, he didn't want floyd at that weight where floyd was dominating people to the core. hatton was in over his head fighting floyd at 140 which is why he didn't take the fight.
Floyd has fought by far the biggest portion of his career at Super Featherweight, 130 lbs. How can people be this misinformed or delusional?
Who likes to be wrong?
Its not all weight. Its also talent level. WW is a much deeper and more talented and more dangerous weight class. 2 of Hatton's best 3 opponents were at 147lbs.
He would've struggled against a guy with Collazo's skill even at 140lbs. Its also not like Hatton was coming up multiple weight classes. He was only coming up 1 I repeat ONE weight class.
