Floyd or Hatton?
Lederman gave it to Hatton...
Almost everyone in the room with me gave it to Hatton (but none are super knowledgable).
I gave it to Mayweather, and it made me feel a bit better when Lampley said that it was a stastical wipeout for Mayweather.
I am just curious how everyone else scored that round.
To me it looked like Mayweather landed a ton of punches in the first minute alone. I was like, shit, if he does this all fight, he is going to break his punch output record. He was landing almost all of them too. I was pretty shocked to be honest, because I was really concerned that Ricky didn't have much to bring to the table in this fight.
Its like any round in any fight between two such styles. You score it in accordance with how you perceive boxing.
If you go for the guy who is aggressive and throws more leather then you give it to Hatton.
If you go for the guy who lands the cleaner shots then you give it to Mayweather.
This is and always will be a contention in boxing.
I generally give it to the guy who LANDS (not throws) more leather.
And in the first round:
Mayweather landed 13 punches.
Hatton landed 6 punches.
That's more than double.
I don't know which fights Harold watches half the time. It's like I'm seeing one thing and then hearing Lederman talk about something completely different.
I gave it to floyd since he used his great ability to pick his shots and execute him.
I swear Floyd should become surgeon with how he's able to cut up some of his opponents..

I gave the round to Mayweather. Hatton was aggressive, but Floyd landed some good clean shots which counts for more than aggression and charging in, in my book.
Mayweather on clean punching. He landed rights too which were a lot better punches then Ricky tieing him up and trying to hit.
Ricky hadn't had him on the ropes either so Mayweather.
