i'm not as stoked about this one as a lot of people seem to be. it's not a match up i'm particularly interested in, and i've felt this way since it was announced. i think both guys have more significant things to take care of in their respective divisions. they did a could job of hyping this thing up, and they'll make a shit load of money, but super fights recently have not lived up to their hype. this match up has the potential to be boring with hatton holding, and mayweather waiting to counter with 1 punch at a time. hope i'm wrong.
anyway, i couldn't care less who wins or loses. i'm taking mayweather by ud. anyone with me, or i'm i the only cynical asshole on here?
If you aren't up for this one you don't have a pulse.
do you work for HBO or something?
im hoping its a good fight .. but realistically its gonna be whats expected .. Floyd winning ... or a shocker .. Hatton winning
topic starter is correct
I dunno im kinda mixed about it .. and kinda agree with the original topic
anyone that says this fight is "can't miss" .. uh I think the 24/7 hype has gotten to you
i mean getting excited about weigh ins and all that shit .. who cares .. did Vazquez/Marquez or even Taylor/Pavlik need a hyped up 4 episode TV show and "intimidating" weigh in stare downs to make those fights exciting?

I am only becuase I have to friggin work. I will be able to get the blow by blow from this site though,,,if it doesnt crash
I admit, the fights I was most looking forward to this year have already happened, but this is a fitting cap to what's been an incredible 10-week stretch (and 2nd half of a year, for that matter).
I understand why people can't get into it as much as others (and for all of the reasons mentioned by the thread starter). People make way too much of Hatton as an action fighter - I thought even the Castillo fight was difficult to watch, up until the knockdown/-out, and his past few fights, in fact everything post-Tszyu (and even including), weren't exactly asthetically pleasing.
And Floyd is Floyd. His fight w/ Zab was considered exciting by Floyd-fight standards, but honestly just another fight in the grand scheme of things. Chances are, he'll retire without ever being involved in even a contender for Fight of the Year.

All due respect, I don't think you can overlook this one.
