Although it has been reported that the highly anticipated trilogy between Israel “Magnifico” Vazquez and Rafael Marquez is a done deal, Vazquez’s manager, Frank Espinoza, insists that those reports are erroneous.
“Israel and I have yet to sign off since we haven’t heard from our promoters at Sycuan Ringside after several attempts to communicate with them,” stated Espinoza from his home base in Los Angeles. “Israel is the WBC and “The Ring” Super bantamweight champion. He deserves to know what’s happening every step of the way and that’s not the reality of the situation.”
“I definitely want the Marquez fight,” said Vazquez from Mexico City where he’s visiting family. “But I need to know if this fight is actually going to happen so I can start training. Otherwise we have to consider other options.”

damn, i hope this happens.
Ditto....
I think this fight will come off in the end. I definetly want to see it and so does everybody else.Amen....I'm praying that it shall.
Vazquez is thinking of possibly fighting Linares, if the Marquez fight does not happen.
as much as i like izzy i think linares is a bad fight for him....especially because linares could be much more famous in a year or two............right now the risk is lhigher than the reward it could be then..
I hope it happens if they both make good paydays.....If they dont, they should consider maybe tune-up fights. Morales vs Barrera dident happen back to back to back.
