I personally feel for the guy, and even though hes made some bad choices, I think he never really had a chance.....Such Potential and look what hes become. its sad really, but his story has inspired me, and to me he will always be Iron Mike.
I'm happy for him that they gave him another chance but he had the world in his hands and more money then you can dream of at one time and could have done whatever he wanted with it, so ya really can't say none of it was just his fault.
I feel bad that his life has went in someways but it happens to almost everyone and it's up to you to overcome it and become better from it, I hope he does.

He has been given so many chances its a joke. Yes he has mental problems, but hes not stupid either. He knows the consequences of his actions and chooses to gamble with the law.
He should have been banned for life after the Holyfield bite. But was allowed to come back and make millions.
Apparently personal responsibility doesnt apply to poor Mike?

yea,,poor innocent lil mike. and it was all evander's fault for wearing that chocolate covered ear
tyson was overconfident and fell in love with his power. plain and simple. not the first or last guy who fell in love with his power and declined skill-wise (foreman, hamed, trinidad).
nobody stays on top forever. tyson had an off-night and douglas took full advantage of tyson's lack of preparation and his weaknesses that he'd shown even in his wins.
i agree ....
BEST Fighter ive ever seen BAR NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason im into boxing in the 1st place, as are many others and for that if nothing else give the man respect
i think he made some big money betting.
maybe i got ahead of myself, but the petitioning was a bit of a reach for me.

please. that's, as tyson would call it, "ludacrisp"
tyson, king's #1 cash cow, lost the heavyweight title. don king tried to petition to the organizations to not recognize douglas as the champ because oof the slow count. the ibf and wbc at first did not recognize buster as the hw champ until a few days later.
don king's fighters would not own a piece of the heavyweight title until sept 1994, 55 months later, when mccall beat lewis.

Tyson is a developmentally disabled man who didn't have stakeholders concerned about what was best for him and on top of everything else, made bad choices in life.
At one time he was a great boxer and perhaps in his prime, better than anyone else in his weight class ever had been. But for the previous reasons I gave will unfortunately go down as a tragic figure in the sport.
yeah that bastard went to daylight savings time in the middle of the fight.
i always had the feeling that don king had something to do with that.

Don King IS a POS nuff said. What is that fat **** doing now?
My favourite memory of "Iron Mike"... when he got banged out by Danny Williams, haha.
Tyson had danny hurt bad in round 1. After seeing that, I dont think Danny would last 2 minuets with a prime Tyson.
I will never forget Tyson-Douglas... the REF started the "10 count" on Tyson while he was falling. Those were the fastest 10 seconds in boxing history. Then again, the REF counted until 14-16 when Douglas went down first. I believe that Tyson was not ready for that particulr fight. Then again, the World wanted him to fall and he was robbed..
Iron Mike Tyson will be one of the Greatest Ever and saved Boxing in his 'time table".

he'll end up in the ufc or something, but he'll have no problem making money the bloke is infamous not a very nice person but what do you expect from a human pit bull, that said i hope he finds some peace in his life.
He should fight himself into shape on a string of ESPN2 Friday night main events. Nothing serious just something to gauge himself on and see how he feels. Burn off some unused energy and stress at the least. Never know what could become of it................
people respect him for his boxing achievements.
people just don't like the bad things he's done and terrible choices he's made.
sure he had it very rough, but most fighters do. is he supposed to get a pass because he had it rough when lots of other guys did and don't do the things he did?
