I ask if Floyd can roll out of the shots to the ribs, like he can role out of the head shots when he drops his right shoulder ?
I am sure Hatton will use the tactic that Calzaghe has used in a lot of his recent fights, by concentrating on the body shots for a big part of the early rounds.
Hatton has the power and physique to fight inside, Floyd has the feet to get the hell out of there. But Floyd will have to attack at some time, this will give Hatton his oppurtunity to get in close and hurt PFB's ribs.
Do you think he can roll out of the ribs shots ?
Please remember this thread Dec 9th.
Hatton is going to fire at will. Either hitting arms or shoulders.. Keep on doing it. He will eventually, and PROBALY and POSSIBLY break Floyd down. YOu never know.
I just don't see it happening. I never liked Hatton. Watching 24/7 made me like him a little. The dude just fucks around alot.. Sort of myself lol.
Can't wait though. Floyd has got a handfull on December 8th. So does Hatton.
Floyd will win a UD by countering Hatton's face to a bloody pulp for most of the 12 rounds. You heard it here for the 100th time.
Hatton will take those Donkey slogs all night. Fcuk me 11yo kids from Manchester hit harder than Pretty Boy can !

Put your money where your mouth is buster !
5k Hatton wins, matching it ?
If he does that, he will find himself in much the same position as Castillo was when he fought Hatton, unable to continue due to multiple fractured ribs. Mayweather says he isnt bothered about body shots. He also says he knows nothing about Hatton and doesnt want to either. It is suprising the number of KO's Hatton has for body shots, and he breaks more ribs than pretty much anyone else in boxing. If Floyd knows nothing of Hatton, we could be in for an early night. Hell, even if he does we could be in for an early night, Hatton lands hooks to the ribs whether you see them coming or not. IMHO, Floyd is not fast enough to be out of harms way when Hatton starts unloading to the body, he has unmatched hand speed and ferocity when working downstairs.
As for the original question ("Can Floyd roll out of the rib shots?"), the answer is simple my friend: No, he cant.
Thank you my man ! I'm glad someone else can see the obvious.
I would like to conclude this thread with my thoughts.
I cannot see Pretty Boy avoiding Hattons body shots to the ribs ALL night, and it will only take ONE good dig to the right area of the rib cage and i can see Pretty Boy going to One knee to take breath.
I'm telling you Hatton will win with a body shot !
You read it here first.
I think thats a bad idea espicially seeing how Floyds power was somewhat effective in keeping Oscar off of him.
Now at a lower weight, Floyd has more pop and that could hurt Hatton if he tries to walk through his right crosses and uppercuts.
He only shook De La Hoya once.
There are two options Hatton has. One is to use the jab the other is to try and walk straight through Mayweather's punches.

I agree. For someone whose game plan was to fight on the outside, Tszyu's lack of movement was amateurish at times. However, Tszyu's counter punching was top class at times throughout his fight with Hatton and there is an argument which says Tszyu is a stronger puncher than Floyd. Many people expected Hatton to use the jab in that fight but for some reason he didn't.
I would agree if you are at the end of Tszyu's punches that he is a stronger puncher than PBF but everything else I would say PBF is better at than Tszyu.
Even if the jab isn't effective its better than just walking in. PBF is not Tszyu in any way shape or form. PBF will hit Hatton and step to the side as to where Tszyu was basically stationary which is why it worked so well against Tszyu. I don't think that will work very well at all against PBF. Also PBF is way more accurate with punch placement than Tszyu and he also doesn't need as much space to get his punches off either.

I think Hatton could surprise a few people with his boxing skills if he tried to use the jab but ultimately I think it would be doomed to failure and given how he walked through Tszyu's punches I believe that is what he will try to do again.

Neither of those sound like good options but I at least feel like he should try and use his jab. Trying to walk through PBF's punches this fight gets ended very early to due to swelling and cuts.

With all that said how do yall expect Hatton to get inside on PBF? Hatton is going to take so much punishment to get inside. If Hatton can't jab his way in then how does he do it. Because his feet are not faster than PBF's nor are his hands. This why I don't see how PBF can't win this by KO or TKO. A UD is basically a given if it goes the distance. That leaping in shit he does is not going to work.
Everybody has talked about Hatton's body attack but nobody has stated how he is going to get inside. Its one thing to say Hatton has quick feet to close the distance but what punch is he going to throw to move those quick feet to get inside.
Hatton fans please explain?

"Ok whatever ?"
What kind of reply is that ?
" PBF being on the attack can really be counted on by Hatton at all."
And what the fcuk is ^ that meant to mean ?
Ok whatever was a reply to your first post about when PBF is on the attack.
What I meant to say was: PBF being on the attack CAN'T really be counted on by Hatton at all so what is Hatton going to do when PBF isn't attacking?
OK whatever. PBF being on the attack can really be counted on by Hatton at all. So what will he do when PBF is not on the attack?

mate no good comparing calzaghe and Hatton. Very few similarities. Hatton will be looking to take risks and land a hook upstairs (or have it blocked) but then be in range to spoil mayweather and wear him down. He won't be working off the jab like calzaghe - f*ck if he did that we could have Gatti-Mayweather 2 on our hands. he won't.
