Everyone is putting all their eggs in a basket hoping Cotto is the one to beat Floyd. Won't happen though Floyd UD when the time comes, if Arum is out of the picture of course.
mayweather would dominate cotto, and i've explained this in depth in many of my other posts, and will not do so here, but i'm sure somebody will try to insult my post, and i'll end up having to reiterate myself from previous posts anyway, so be it.
Tommy: After you win next month is it Mayweather vs Cotto?
Floyd Mayweather: My focus is solely on Ricky Hatton. I'm not thinking of any other fighter other than Ricky Hatton.
Floyd is focused on Hatton 100%, Please talk about this after December 8th as Hatton has a chance even a slim one, its the sport of Boxing.
They are fighting about this in december, but im not, so i will talk about it whenever i fucking please, cause thats how i roll.
Cotto tko 9
have a nice fucking day!
Im not saying Chavez or Castillo hit harder than Cotto all i was saying is that the other guy was saying Mayweather can't handle pressure and i was just pointing out if he couldn't handle pressure he wouldn't of won any of the fights i mentioned and as for Cotto vs Mayweather i see it as a close match up because Cotto isn't one dimensional and he has a nice jab and some pretty good skills when he uses them but im fan of both Cotto and Mayweather so i don't really care who wins.
we'll see.i see this fight happening around this time next year.
I don't see what's so funny about that all 3 of those men put effective pressure on Mayweather.
the first castillo fight has been argued to death.chavez aint no cotto, three oscar did two things throw his jab when he did he was effective the only sort of pressure he did was stick his elbow in floyd's neck and throw punches to the body most were blocked.cotto is a different monster, but by any means continue with the underestimation of miguel cotto.
I've always thought that Cotto would be too much for Mayweather. Everytime Mayweather would go against the ropes Cotto would hurt him with everything he touches him with where ever. I dont think Mayweather has the power to keep Cotto off. I'm a huge Cotto fan and my money and heart would be on him winning this fight. Having said that, i'm not one of these fans who says my guys is gonna kill your period. It would not be an easy fight by any means and it would not at all be a shocker if Mayweather won by a UD.
My official pic, Cotto by TKO 11
Mayweather can't handle pressure very well, he had one of his hardest fights against Castillo for that reason, he lost rounds when DLH pressured him and Judah assaulted him so I don't see him winning against someone who can take his shots and effectively counterpunch. Cotto also doesnt tire out like the other fighters and seems to be able to neutralize speed at times. Cotto will have a much better chance than Hatton IMO. B-Hop said it right when being interviewed here on boxingscene
