Just finished watching the 2nd Eubank vs Watson fight for the first time.
What a 12th round , unbelivable. Also Such a tragedy what happend afterwards.
Waston was very, very good, superb defence good mover, would have went on to bigger and better things in the US, Benn and Eubank would have been playing catch up until he retired, sadly we never got to see Watson achive it.
Having only seen Watson in one fight (against Maccallum), can someone tell me how good he really was. Because i guess having only seen one fight with him (and a fight he really was outclassed in) i wonder how good he was and how high up he was ranked during his prime.
I just watched Eubank-Watson I again
Eubank won the first six with slicks, the eighth on workrate and arguably the last two on workrate
(he was severely weight-drained, too)
we obviously know how to score a fight ,shame others dont
don't no if your trying to be smug, are smarmy, or just a tosser, the world does'nt just spin around you know, other people do have opinions
lmfao sounds to me like u are the one who needs to collect his dummy

I think Benn was was just shattered, and even a jab from Eubank carried power, but remember that stupid swining punch he would try in every fight almost sending himself to the floor, you had a week to dodge it, could'nt move fought bum after bum, the week before a fight his opponent would pop up to 6 or 7 in the WBO, tony thornton, ray close, gary stretch, henry warton, John Jarvis, one of the most padded recs in british boxing.
Yes he did i liked his peek a boo style in that fight he blocked alot of Benn's punches but the only problem is Benn hits so hard even if you block his shots on the gloves its still devasting i was bit surprised at the end though because it was only a stiff jab that stopped Benn.
He means Eubank
It might be down to the fact I was screaming for Watson at the time, but i do think Watson was robbed, it depends on how you score a fight, so go for aggression and some go for defence, and slick movement, Eubank just stands in the middle of the ring and waits for his opponent to come forward, hoping to land his KO, he had very little boxing ability but had a great punch and an even better chin.
He showed some pretty decent boxing ability in his first fight with Benn.
i dont know about u but i score who actually wins the round
Watson got nailed a few times in the first 5 rounds with flush right hands he hardly did anything in the first 5 rounds apart from shuffle his shoulders & let Eubank outwork him

If u did'nt give Eubank the first 5 rounds u are a fool ,hardly winning easy

time might have clouded my memory, but i do think Watson won and won easy.

well reallistically that means Eubank only needed to have drawed a round to have retainded the title and i dare say in the next 7 some body who was as unbiased as u and i would have had one round square fact is neither of them deserved to win the fight but with Eubank being the champion he obviously retained the title for that reason
Watson won the first fight by a country mile
lmfao its obvious your intent on causing an argument but i gonna play ball so ill just say your avator is very apt

I thought Watson won 1st Eubank fight by about 2 points maybe 1 but it seemed to me Eubank won most of the 1st 6 rounds then he lost probably every single round after that he seemed to just fade i think it was due to him losing alot of weight in short time.
the only reason people try & make out Watson won is because back them they hated Eubank & Michael was the peoples champion he gave away the first half of the fight the Best Watson could have got was a draw
the second fight should'nt have happened, Watson won the first fight by a country mile but the WBO wanted Eubank as champ as he was the most charismatic fighter they had, the WBO were and still are a stepping stone title struggling for real recognition, Watson was miles a head in the second fight aswell, but tragedy struck.
