COTTO-MOSLEY does OVER 400k PPV BUYS!!!

It missed the projected outcome of 500,000 PPV buys, which is probably why BOB ARUM wont release the official Numbers. Arums reasoning for not releasing official numbers is because "he says he's adopting a new policy of not releasing the final figures because fighters will want to be paid on that number and Top Rank doesn't have the revenue yet." But Arum did say that the numbers most certainly broke the 400,000 buy mark, although it is unclear how far over. -------- IMO, thats FANTASTIC sales. I was thinkin maybe 350k at most, but over 400k is wonderful. I never thought it was gonna be 500k anyways

Im just saying that 400k buys for a guy who is on the downside of his career (mosley) vs a guy who is on the come up (Cotto) is pretty damn good. If you put it that way then maybe, but for a guy that fought de la hoya twice, Winky twice, forrest and Vargas twice and a very popular up and comer like Cotto it should have been a recipe for the 600k. But maybe you're right.

What did Cotto/judah did? Mosley+cotto should have done better IMO..350k for PBF/Judah seems better than Cotto/Mosley..Judah isnt a draw at all. Im just saying that 400k buys for a guy who is on the downside of his career (mosley) vs a guy who is on the come up (Cotto) is pretty damn good.

No it didn't. It got a Nielsen rating of 1.3 which is 1,466,400 viewers. Not THAT good. 1.3 is no 2.2, but its REALLY good for HBO. the DLH-MAYWEATHER had great HBO ratings, the best one did 1.8

The gap between first and second is so large that the DIFFERENCE between them is the same difference between the numbers of the first fight and the ACTUAL numbers of the first fight after it was recounted...........if that makes any sense.

Pavlik vs. Taylor had 2.2 million live viewers (3 million viewers including on demand). Yeah - lots of people seem to be watching boxing this year. wow, really? I didnt know that, where do yall get these numbers from? I frankly dont understand why they dont go ahead and throw one of those kind of fights on Friday Night Fights once in a while haha, if they can generate that many viewers ESPN should make a decent amount of money on endorsements and commercials...

I wonder if the Puerto Rico PPV purchases are included in the total. I bet Mayweather-Hatton does twice better. The only reason I am paying the Weather-Hatton PPV is because we live in a bizarre world where underdogs have a great night... and if Hatton KOs Mayweather, I would never ever lose a chance to watch it live!!!
