A reliable source close to Zab Judah’s camp informed me here in St. Lucia while covering the Sho-Box card, that a match up between Zab Judah and Oscar De La Hoya may be in the works.
“Oscar is looking for a tune up next year. It makes sense.” The source said Zab was flying out this week to begin talks.
The bout makes sense as De La Hoya has claimed that he plans a 2008 return to welterweight and has “given Richard
Schaefer his marching orders” following the Cotto/Mosley bout last Saturday.
Judah has one last chance to shine (especially at 147) and De La Hoya has a nice showcase fight on his hands possibly. Style-wise.. this is a very interesting fight. I dunno, I'm interested in this fight.
NBC would be nice, though I see this on PPV. He could just make so much money off this fight, it's hard for him to fight on TV. Though, commercials pay an aweful lot of money.
I'd rather see Oscar fight that stripper instead of Zab, how many frickin' lives does Judah have. Hey Zab, I know your a nut case and really are a discredit to the sport, but would you like a huge payday. Sure Oscar, ya know I'm sayin', I'll beat the fishnets off of you, know I'm sayin', cuz I'm the greatest, ya know I'm sayin'...
this shit better not be ppv. make it on ESPN. that would make my month.
only in our dreams.
all de la fishnet fights from now on (actually beginning with castillejo in 2001) are ppv.
I still remember that clearly too, because it got me very excited. If youre gonna fight Judah, well heres your damn chance! dont turn your back on that idea now Oscar!
IM GUESSING THE WHOLE DODGER STADIUM THING IS FARFETCHED.I THINK THAT WILL BE WHERE HIS LAST FIGHT WILL HAPPEN.
Oscar Said He Wanted To Fight Once On Free Tv.im Guessing Nbc Or Some Shit Like That.
